Winner's interview #1: Bomber doesn't feel like his play is perfect yet during practice, so there will be improvement. Gyuri asks if he feels he's good at cheese rushes? The builds he uses are the ones he's the most confident in, so it's all ok. Does not care who he meets if he doesn't meet life. He's hard. Thanks for cheering for me, you're all supporting me. Thanks to SBENU as well!
Winner #2 interview: He felt really happy after the last game! He thought he was gonna lose, but he played on and was able to turn it around. INnoVation has a 100% advancement rate to the ro16. He loves to use banshees, but his game didn't really work that much. A few odd mistakes. He feels like he loses a lot to veteran terrans. He feels abit disappointed that he couldn't use the banshees vs Bomber. Gyuri expected mine drops in TvP, but he didn't really show them today. He was trying to change his builds because he's well known for mine drops. He says the protoss players were very strategic players (coach mentioned it as well), so he switched his game up to mess with the opponents. "All the players that have advanced are great, so I don't really care about my group." - INnoVation 2015 He feels like his practice is starting to pay off. "I'm not doing too well recently, but I still hope fans look forward to my games and my coming improvement." -INnoVation 2015.

Even in a slump, Innovation is still head and shoulders above the rest of the group. Predicting a Bomber vs Creator decider match to see who joins him in the Ro16.

Wondering how Innovation's form is, but I think he should definitely get out on his TvP versus Creator and Panic (although Creator's PvT isn't that bad).

I actually started making a photoshop with progamer faces on EXID. When I created the horrifying being, Zombie Kpop Tasteless, I knew I had gone too far.

If the thread votes for bomber, I will be happy.
Zombie Kpop Tasteless sounds more intriguing than regular Tasteless.

Even with Bogus so called "slump" his results are still better than everyone else. Surprisingly it's Bomber's results that's been the most lackluster recently.
On May 06 2015 14:05 OtherWorld wrote: Wtf is that banner
The banner is of the kpop group AOA, who just yesterday celebrated their 1000 day anniversary after debut. They are also related to Sonic in the sense that they played in a commercial for SBENU.
It is also my favorite group. And Noonius, Yuna is the best.

Indeed, these weird things with "photshopped" (I guess more likely MSpainted from the looks of it usually) pro faces are really useful. They are the main thing that keeps the family feeling of the LR community because its very likely that a random passer-by who sees that will close the thread and never come back.

tbh this caster duo always feels so awkward cause the skill difference is even bigger than between the players right now. Valdez just can't keep up with Artosis' banter and shit (not to speak of analysis which admittedly isn't really his role) and so Dan tries to slow down a bit

I think the fact there are many anime fans on TL and in general in the social circles that are likely to be interested in games like SC2 makes you think that it is a "big" thing, but I would not be that sure, all these things are pretty niche. I have never really seen any anime - sometimes I watched with someone a part of something, did not understand what's going on and it never had any appeal - and that holds for this kind of culture in general. For example the first time I really heard about this pokemon thing was TL, that made me read something about it online and find out that anything related to it is really absurd etc.

Yeah but if you infer to his age group he was a kid when DBZ was big. In America.
Indeed, bandit keith, indeed.
yeah but as a kid is exactly when you'd be watching DBZ...
For example the first time I really heard about this pokemon thing was TL, that made me read something about it online and find out that anything related to it is really absurd etc.
idk, i was never really into anime either (still am not) but when i was in school pretty much all the guys and a lot of the girls watched Pokemon, Digimon and DBZ...

I've never seen dbz digimon and have only seen pokemon when I was 8 on tv, despite having watched (and still watching) a ton of anime. Anime is medium after all rather than a particular genre

Maybe I am just a tad too old (32) and missed the right timing? (and also in the 90s we were still a little behind on accepting western culture, which is paradoxical, because japan is to the east, but comes here through american influence) But I believe 30 is now like the most common age on TL, isn't it? Anyway in my school there were maybe like 1-2 weirdos into that stuff and nobody really talked with them much.

Honestly, all cheap food i have ever met in the US tasted like crap, almost literally. And for example all drinks that are not just pure water are so full of sugar and whoknowswhat that they are undrinkable, even "juices" are just terrible. For someone who is not used to US additives in everything, it's a pretty rough coming there and trying to not actually starve to death ... I had a couple of good meals in some roadside restaurants and when I was in San Diego, the Mexican stuff was great, but almost everything I ever bought in a supermarket in the US was absolutely terrible.

Seriously nothing comes close to the ingredients / method the restaurants use. edit* = the beer is terrible though compared to American craft beers obviously.

Winner's interview #1: Bomber doesn't feel like his play is perfect yet during practice, so there will be improvement Gyuri asks if he feels he's good at cheese rushes? The builds he uses are the ones he's the most confident in, so it's all ok. Does not care who he meets if he doesn't meet life. He's hard. Thanks for cheering for me, you're all supporting me. Thanks to SBENU as well!
I find myself quite often liquibetting against what I really want. At least I can be happy no matter what happens. Seeing Inno lose is such a great thing!
briefly comment on the innovation-creator game anyone?
thx!
first game was a catastrophe for creator buildorder wise. second game he could have won due to an opening. (phoenix colossus and he caught the vikings), but he had no warp in pylon and lost to the counter. the fight he took at his base was not in an optimal position, but he was behind by like 3 upgrades.

Funny because I think sOs fits that description just as well. I considered writing "unfortunately" or "sadly" instead of "for some reason" but didn't want to seem too biased.

Yeah, right, Flash could talk But it's much usual to PvZ than PvT. I think back in Wings it was much way used, but back then we didn't have the DiscoBall(Oracle) and NexusCannonerBall(MothershipCore)... Thinking about it, Protoss designers are pretty lazy. We have forcefield ball(almost a ball) and invisible ball(observer), also energy ball(archon). Then they added Oracle, Mothershipcore. And in the LotV we will have a kamikaze ball :/ Mwhmhm bleh :/

Hiding the third was a good move. I thought for sure INno was done when Panic seemed to break through but the mules hammering on that sneaky third minerals gave INno just enough money to survive. Nice !
If Panic wasn't totally stupid and realized that there must be a third base when Inno doesn't leave the game, he could have send three zealots there and won. In general, today's Protosses were pretty lazy in this aspect.

In fact since any assertion on a Z player in this group would talk about the empty set, you can literally take any percentage for Z winrate in that group.

Mhmmm, I mean we have the sample size of an entire GSL group, Zerg totally underpowered.
Byul, life and Dark are just outliers, oh no wait, I mean they faced shittier opponents. Nonono sorry, what I really wanted to convey was that they were just in good form and got lucky. /s

In fact since any assertion on a Z player in this group would talk about the empty set, you can literally take any percentage for Z winrate in that group.
To be fair, that strictly holds only for statements quantified as "every Z in this group", "no Z in this group" or similarly, statements quantified such as "there is a Z in this group that" are false by default. So one has to be carefully.
Nevertheless, every Z in this group got beaten by a strategy that would not we viable against swarmhosts!

Game 2 : INno tried to go for a fast widow mine drop with 2 hellions that got shut down pretty hard. Panic went on to counterattack with 3 gates worth of stalkers and an observer. INno finished a clutch bunker and it seemed that he was going to win a fast 2-0, but Panic had a next move in mind with a warp prism sentry drop that won the game. Game 3 : Panic blind countered INno's reaper expand into double widow mine drop by going for 5:00 forge and a cannon in each mineral line. INno chose to go for 5 rax into third while Panic elected to go for a 2 bases 1-1 blink 3 colossi all-in. It seemed that he would be able to break through at some point but INno had cleverly moved his third to another base and was muling it like a madman, giving him just enough resources to get rid of the colossi and amass some marauders and marines while Panic was left with blink stalkers. INno finished the game with a scv pull while Panic was trying to reach storm on 2 bases (he was pretty dead whatever INno chose to do).
I guess the expected result. Only way the 2 (inferior) protosses could advance was if they carefully read "the great pile of protoss bullshit". Which was read to me yesterday on the ladder, by some russian dudes.

The games with Creator in them were pretty terrible, the rest was not that bad, but not really any games that would stand out. I liked the winner's match, but it wasn't very long.

I actually got the predictions perfect if you swap Panic beating Creator in the losers bracket. I guess I had too much confidence in Creator's PvP.

I have a really bad feeling Soulkey did actually throw that match. I know there is no evidence, but that result is so incredibly unusual I can't possibly find a decent reason for it.

I hope so, I just find it almost completely irrational to lose to Creator and then beat PartinG in such a short time frame.
It's one of the most absurd results outside of Life losing to sjow.

Wow. But if you watch it again some day, Creator actually played really well that day. Apparently he does that every once in a blue moon. And those series were like a month or two apart.

I suppose its possible, and I'm always willing to give players the benefit of the doubt. It's just that Soulkey's ZvP had been very strong and Creator had been AWFUL in the mu.
I haven't been paying too much attention to Bomber. I thought he was planning on retiring in the last year? Or is he Taeja status where the army cant take him so he has to wait some more time.

I think he plans to retire at the end of the year, like MMA.

Creator :
a - is able to show strong performances as seen in SPL (victories over BByong, Zest, sOs) even if PvZ is not his best mu, he's not coming from nowhere b - always had a huge potential since 2012 when he was one of the most promising young players with Life and Maru.
It's just sad that for some reason he never managed to be consistently a top player, but seeing him beating fan favorites here and there is not surprising, especially when said favorite is not in a good shape like SK was at the time.

Seriously, can anyone doubt Bomber as the best Terran in the world after how he played today? Innovation is clearly giving up on his progaming career and Maru just lost to Byul lol. I'd say that Bomber is the best Terran in the world this minute. Bomber has always finessed his way through his opponents. If he does not win this season of Code S, then I am gonna drop out of college and join some random African tribe.
After last season of Proleague, SSL and GSL, I don't consider Innovation even a top 50 Terran anymore. I guess he lost his motivation for the game seeing as his mechanics were just...god awful. Sure, he got completely outplayed at times, but he turned from a player that Mount Olympus would consider a god, to some peasant.
tl;dr Bomber will definitely win GSL and Innovation will retire after this season.

Which only makes it even more suspicious
Well, without wanting to revive the whole matchfixing deal, the betting lines only being suspicious in map 1 would lead one to believe that Soulkey didn't intentionally lose the whole series (and tbh intentionally not qualifying for Code S would be stupid), if he was in fact matchfixing.
RoBogus made it too, which is also cool. That last game was pretty damn close though, he's going to get eaten in the ro16 if he keeps playing like this.
Terran is doing pretty well in this league, if my projection keeps up I see half the ro16 being Terran. Only think 3 Zergs are making it though, maybe 4 if Curious is in good shape.

Yeah, 7-8 Terrans + 3-4 Zergs + 5 Protoss is my guess as well. Then again it's no surprise, we are twin prophets

Common sense.
Maybe his Zerg list is empty list.
Well he did say 3-4 and Rogue is already through to the Ro16 so I'd assume it isn't.
