Life also got outplayed by Rain recently but he's still the better player. Rain "had" been better across all matchups prior to that disaster earlier this week. In fact aligulac actually shows the change where herO just overtook him. Rain won against Life. Otherwise this year he lost against every top player. His next best wins are Classic and DRG, two guys that are near to irrelevant at the top competition right now. His losses are to Rogue, Soulkey, Dream, Dark, Soulkey again, and even lost to players like Gumiho and Impact. Anytime he is up against a somewhat bigger name he loses aside from the 2-1 against Life. He is not up there with the best right now.
Rain has been my favourite player ever since he changed the WoL PvP matchup.
I have always considered him as top three in the world.
Now, however, I must agree with you. He is no longer a top tier player. Does he have the skill to be? Yes. But does he have the ABILITY to? No. It is not evident in his play.
