I don't know. I mean you can totally play mech TvP too, you just have to accept that you won't win very often.

You surprise me, I was quite convinced SH was needed at the highest level to deal with lategame compositions. For instance colossi + templars without SHs : except don't let him do that, how do you manage to deal with it ?

you don't let him get that, 60ish drone games will end before the P gets colo/ht or you're indeed force into some form of SH play. Aggro SH play is really good too and hilarious to see.
But yeah once P gets some steam you kinda need them which sucks, but that almost never happens when a Z is playing a ultra aggressive mid game.

You don't. The only successful top Zergs in ZvP right now are aggro Zergs (aka "don't let him do that") or SH-based players. You can play Roach/Hydra/Vipers but it's a gamble and is not a long-term comp. You can also try to go full air (muta/corruptor) but it's boooooooooooooooooring to play. The only other viable option is to force a basetrade, preferably with a muta switch.

Yes you can cheese/allin lol.
And you can hold off blink allins off 3 base with ling hydra but when protoss gets close to max with blink stalkers you can't trade with it with lair tech units except SH
