Wow Terminator came first out of that group? Thats pretty impressive. How did he play? Throwing cheeses arround or just all arround good play?
And well wouldnt be a real GSL if Taeja didnt drop out early and in disappointing fashion :p

Nope, TaeJa has dropped out of the GSL in the RO32 3 previous times:
GSL Oct 2011
GSL Nov 2011
GSL Season 5 2012
soOjwa has returned to smite all that stand in his way

I believe so. But I guess it is just that time of the year where Taeja does not play that well. Give him a few months and he is gonna win everything till the end of summer :D

Upsets everywhere. Terminator beating not only one but two top players? What? Curious somehow managing to beat the host Terran ever? What? I'm pretty sure the only reason taeja lost is because of his wrist. If his wrists was in good form, he would not have been upset by hero and curious.

Yeah dunno how this legend about Taeja being bad in code S came from, it's not like he's the only good palyer to never have won it... and has 2 top 4 finishes afaik which is not so bad.

Dear INno and all the former STX boys.

terminator had already beaten Teaja in the NSSL (or whatever you call it) qualifiers.

Against Curious he decided to go for 3 baes heavy agression, maybe being a bit more patient and try and play on 4 base would have worked better?

But Curious played well with deadly runbyes that reminded everybody that he's Life's team mate.

I am definitly not thinking of Flash.
But yeah, it would fit. Maybe i just rememmbered Taejas early defeats and not his ro4 runs so thats why i thought of him.

Hate?
More like some guys are "happy" that he fails to deliver considering his fanboys think he is the greatest starcraft player ever (which he is not, not even close to...)

I see Taeja already dropping early in the real competitive scene and not matching the titanic runs up to ro16 of the likes of Flash.

Taeja will never, ever win a GSL (especially nowadays due KESPA players). That's not even hard to understanding...just look at the history...has he ever won a GSL? nope...LOL. And back then there were far easier korean players to compete against.

Here are two simple reasons blind fans think he is the best player (haha, that is funny):
1) He goes to and wins so many international tournaments (whoopie doo, barely any pro koreans there)
2) He does well in random games and non-preparation matches (he gets wrecked in preparation matches...SSL & GSLs)

I'm definitely not surprised he is the loser in this group. No hate on Taeja here but his blinded fans sure fell for the TeamLiquid Hype. I wouldn't be surprised if TeamLiquid will write an article to come up with excuses for Taeja's loss.

GSL is for the big boys...today Taeja proved he doesn't belong in Code S. I'd say he is Code A level but he will also need to prove he belongs there (just like any other korean pros). No hate on Taeja here...just giving a big wake up slap to his blinded fans for falling for the TeamLiquid hype.

Oh please. Two of the best Kespa Players from last year did not even make it to Code S or to challenger in SSL.
Everyone knows Taeja is not good when it comes to preparation matches. Skillwise he is one of THE best. Kespa Koreans tried playing weekend tournaments and most of them failed. Sure they do not play many, but when they do they are not really great.

Sure Taeja sometimes is overhyped but his doubters downplay his talent way too much too. If it would have been that easy for Kespa Koreans why didn´t Innovation win every weekend tournament he attended even though he was doing very well in Korea. Hell at the Dreamhack Finals in Bucharest he got beaten by Taeja.
soO lost to Taeja. Fucking Zest lost to Taeja. He won vs sOs and beat Life many times.
When it comes to Skill Taeja BELONGS into Code S. Him losing today does not really say too much because like I said two of the biggest names one of them actually winning Code S season 1 last year and the other being in 4 GSL finals in a row didnt even make the qualifers

Taeja on form can beat anyone. Is he the best sc2 player ever? No. Maybe we could start arguing about who is the best Sc2 Player when SC3 comes out.

The Taeja hate is unfounded -- he's proven before he can go the distance and GSL and has made semi-finals before. I think the biggest issue with Taeja is just discipline. He often seems like he can get wrapped up in his own talent at the game so he goes into matches thinking he doesn't need extra practice or preparation which leads to his dismantling. If Taeja was back on a team with a full-time coach and training regimen, I wonder how he would fare.

Oh please. If you're not good in preparation matches...then how will you ever do well in the biggest and hardest tournament of SC2 (namely, GSL)? Might as well just stick to playing online random matches and international spring marathon tournaments...lol. (which is what TeamLiquid did to build up Taeja "Hype Train")

Your quote: "Taeja on form can beat anyone." So are you saying Taeja was not on form last night for the GSL? Well I can say the same when soO, Zest, and Innovation lost to him...they were not on form. What's your point? o.O

Here's the thing .don't make excuses for any of their losses. They lose and move on, that's it. If they played badly and were not on form...then how are they the best player?

There is no best player in SC2 since the game itself is..lets say nothing compared to Brood War. To be considered the best overall in SC2 you must be a Consistent player...so far...Taeja proved he is not consistent.
