And why is this hardest tournament in the world? Who decides that? You? Blizzcon was the hardest and he smashed both soO and innovation, and kespa got wrecked there... 1 in top 4, 0 in finals

He just doesnt like this type of tournament, not because its "hard" but because he trains by playing ladder and opponents prepare for him! But in the end, its not same Taeja anymore, when he is in form, he wouldnt lose to this kind of play

Pure skill, Taeja is the best player there is... he just doesnt do any preparation for opponents and tries to play standard all the time, and people use it against him if they have time to prepare for him... i mean, soO, zest, solar, innovation, rain... all kind of people he beats and they all consider him great, one of the best... yet here he is bad because he cant win GSL... but its fine that kespa guys cant win any big tournament outside... those he won bunch... yet then its always some jetlag or tired excuse!

Pure skill? TaeJa is a gooddamn noob, end of story..

Yea, hes a noob who won the most premier tournaments out of anyone. Do you even see how retarded your statemen tis?

Though he never won a big tourney, like Blizzcon, GSL, WCS or something, right? So he's pretty good at the 10 000 $ tourneys, but once it goes super serial he gets 3rd or 4th place at best

Once again? Taeja was one of the very best last time he was in GSL, iirc 2 semifinals and 2 quarterfinals in the span of 5 seasons. And this was during BL-infestor era.

edit: or once again like in SSL and then now? Anyway I don't think it matters, Taeja is still one of the best we had last year, GSL or not.

I never said he was bad. Definitely top 10 of all time. I simply said he never lived up to the hype when playing the hardest tournaments. He performed terribly in WCS last year and TL still voted him player of the year. People constantly compare him to Mvp despite Mvp being undeniably better during his reign. He is an amazing player, but he gets way more praise than he deserves.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

I still feel Taeja is at the level of Mvp. For the last ~3 years, there's not much time where he hasn't been considered one of the top players in the world. He's very consistent, and imo he has the results to back it up.

I see what you're saying though. A GSL win would put him at Mvp level for sure, if not above.

Pure skill? TaeJa is a gooddamn noob, end of story..

BY FAR the best player by pure skill! And no, skill =/= skill... whoever thinks that is not a very smart person, cause if that was the case, Taeja would have won every game he ever played, then herO, zest, flash, life would also almost never lose! If some noob prepares build just for 1 map and just against 1 opponent and wins with it, he is not skilled, he is prepared... and if he faces someone else, he gets wrecked! That cant be skill

Throw all the best players in some tournament where you play against everyone Bo3, every day like 5-6 matches, each match win 3 points and i would bet that Taeja would be among the top, if not top... and half of those that do well in one GSL would be bottom, only the really skilled ones would be up, like zest, inno, life etc... because they wouldnt be able to prepare for every match and would maybe win 1st every day and then be bad in rest

That post was pure bait, implying he achieved nothing impressive unless he gets easy opponents. Seriously, most of the bullshit people spew here just give me a headache. You don't like a player, that's your right. But at least inform yourself on what he achieved before claiming things that are obviously not true.
