Hopefully people will now finally stop putting Taeja on the same level as MVP. Once again? Taeja was one of the very best last time he was in GSL, iirc 2 semifinals and 2 quarterfinals in the span of 5 seasons. And this was during BL-infestor era. edit: or once again like in SSL and then now? Anyway I don't think it matters, Taeja is still one of the best we had last year, GSL or not. Yeah broodlord infestor last for like 100 code S season and over 15 years ..... http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2013_Global_StarCraft_II_League_Season_1
BL Infestor era was Season 5 2012 and Season 1 2013 and that is it. But yeah Taeja was really really good at the time, I'm not denying it It's just that many people speaks of BL/Infestor as if it was the whole Wings of Liberty era (if you weren't sorry, internet isn't always the best place to understand each others).
I use to love Taeja, I just think he is completly overhype nowdays.

Blizzcon was the hardest and he smashed both soO and innovation, and kespa got wrecked there... 1 in top 4, 0 in finals He just doesnt like this type of tournament, not because its "hard" but because he trains by playing ladder and opponents prepare for him! But in the end, its not same Taeja anymore, when he is in form, he wouldnt lose to this kind of play Pure skill, Taeja is the best player there is... he just doesnt do any preparation for opponents and tries to play standard all the time, and people use it against him if they have time to prepare for him... i mean, soO, zest, solar, innovation, rain... all kind of people he beats and they all consider him great, one of the best... yet here he is bad because he cant win GSL... but its fine that kespa guys cant win any big tournament outside... those he won bunch... yet then its always some jetlag or tired excuse! Pure skill? TaeJa is a gooddamn noob, end of story.. Remind me to at least give you a warning when I get home

I never said he was bad. Definitely top 10 of all time. I simply said he never lived up to the hype when playing the hardest tournaments. He performed terribly in WCS last year and TL still voted him player of the year. People constantly compare him to Mvp despite Mvp being undeniably better during his reign. He is an amazing player, but he gets way more praise than he deserves. On January 16 2015 21:57 phagga wrote: Don't feed the trolls. Yes, I'm obviously a troll and not just stating my opinion on a forum. Very clever. Sorry, I misunderstood. I still feel Taeja is at the level of Mvp. For the last ~3 years, there's not much time where he hasn't been considered one of the top players in the world. He's very consistent, and imo he has the results to back it up. I see what you're saying though. A GSL win would put him at Mvp level for sure, if not above. You might want to rethink what you said there

On topic: Hope Curious can take this one back, would love to see more of him this year.

Obviously Artosis would be the captain and Tasteless would be the other guy

How did he manage to beat Rain in that IEM final, I thought that would be a turning point for him.

Just woke up and tuned in... "So Tasteless, what kind of a pirate would you be?"

He got outplayed in most of the standard games and got quite lucky with build advantages to turn the series around
