Hopefully people will now finally stop putting Taeja on the same level as MVP.
Once again? Taeja was one of the very best last time he was in GSL, iirc 2 semifinals and 2 quarterfinals in the span of 5 seasons. And this was during BL-infestor era.
edit: or once again like in SSL and then now? Anyway I don't think it matters, Taeja is still one of the best we had last year, GSL or not.

In other words, "I hate the people who are like "I'm really glad this guy lost" unless I'm one of them." :p I'll be a little more thorough and say I hate it every time. Well, i think if youre really BM and you show no respect to anyone, imo its atleast acceptable to hate on those people. But when people send those messages to people, who really dont deserve it, its imo just hateful.

Yeah, weird reasons like winning a bunch of tournaments in the ZParcraft era

Like being on TL and beating low tier scrubs (plus bogus :'( ) ?
I don't know why people don't like the hate ?!
It's what create the hype, if you are meh for everyone why even bother to watch games ?
Yeah I'm happy when taeja lose and so damn happy when Innovation wins ! And that's awesome I think at least.

Nah, that was before iirc. The "discussion" in the PR thread was full of comments of why Taeja didn't deserve it.

I never said he was bad. Definitely top 10 of all time. I simply said he never lived up to the hype when playing the hardest tournaments. He performed terribly in WCS last year and TL still voted him player of the year. People constantly compare him to Mvp despite Mvp being undeniably better during his reign. He is an amazing player, but he gets way more praise than he deserves.

And why is this hardest tournament in the world? Who decides that? You? Blizzcon was the hardest and he smashed both soO and innovation, and kespa got wrecked there... 1 in top 4, 0 in finals
He just doesnt like this type of tournament, not because its "hard" but because he trains by playing ladder and opponents prepare for him! But in the end, its not same Taeja anymore, when he is in form, he wouldnt lose to this kind of play
Pure skill, Taeja is the best player there is... he just doesnt do any preparation for opponents and tries to play standard all the time, and people use it against him if they have time to prepare for him... i mean, soO, zest, solar, innovation, rain... all kind of people he beats and they all consider him great, one of the best... yet here he is bad because he cant win GSL... but its fine that kespa guys cant win any big tournament outside... those he won bunch... yet then its always some jetlag or tired excuse!
