Since you apparently won't answer my question, I'll go out of my way to answer yours: no, it wasn't conincidence. Soulkey has this misplaced confidence in his own defensive abilities and tends to go for builds that are very greedy because they put him in a great position going into the midgame. He's rarely punished for it because a blind 9pool in ZvZ is very risky, especially if your opponent is going 14/15pool, but it's incredibly easy to punish if you realize that he's most likely to open hatch-gas. I don't know why you think it would be impossible for Rogue to watch a few Soulkey VODs and see this.
None of this changes the fact that Soulkey is an idiot for going for the very same greedy build that got him killed in game one.

Maybe he should have microed better then If you can't deal with the "luck" in sc2 (even though it is more like calculated risks) you just shouldn't watch it. It is part of the game and as long as we don't get the most ridiculous defenders advantage (like mobas) and we keep fog of war this won't change. You kinda bitch about this all the time, do you do the same with RL stuff which you can't really change?

Soulkey current form or ZvZ woes have nothing to do with this fact. edit: We can give credit for Rogue preparation, but there was lucky involved no matter how you bend it :/ A lot of people think all gambles are blind (and therefore bad). That's an inacurrate notion. There is skill in how and when you choose to gamble. And conversely there is skill in how you predict people's gambling choices and how you react to them accordingly. True, but pool timings are not the best example of a skill gamble IMO. If we talk about the first choices in a TvP before the first scout, then i can see a lot of preparation involved.

That engagement wasn't good for Classic, he had a third of his army attacking, a third on the vikings, and a third running away... :/

Attack with a ton of vikings killing all the colossus and a lot of zealots, then Cure retreats. Classic uses this opportunity for a tactical pause.,
