Toughest GSL qualifiers in history. Each bracket was harder than WCS Global will now be.

So the clear number one protoss in 2014 for many was unable to qualify for either individual leagues...

I told you before the qualifiers that this year we just have no clear #1.
The qualifiers proved just that.

That's absolutely not true

I'm really interested in seeing how FanTaSy's play looks at the moment. He must still be stepping it up. I'm mega stoked about the terran lineup especially right now.)

Honestly, when people like sOs, Zest, Flash, Bbyong, Cure, Byul, and DongRaeGu don't get through their bracket, it probably is...
Those listed are probably all better than the top 8 of WCS Global (which will humorously, be the other Koreans who managed to pass the qualifications)

The new system increases the chance to have one foreigner at the WCS Global final, but now with more Korean tournaments and so many Koreans being on foreign teams to play everywhere, the best Korean players will have more opportunities to be there, so the quality of play there should at least be similar to this year. Besides Zest, none of those names made it to this years WCS finals either. Classic/herO/Bomber/MMA/Taeja/San/Life/Innovation is still an incredibly solid top 8 regardless, and definitely harder than a random bracket. Though I do agree with this being the toughest GSL qualifier in history.

It's not so weird that it's the hardest GSL qualifier since it's the first one in a loooong while that doesn't have any seeds from previous seasons.

I think by "WCS Global" he meant the new WCS AM+EU, not Global Finals.

Anyway, results look mostly (soO and Zest being out is pretty bad) fine for me; former EU Premier players mostly made it through (5/7). That should silence sm1995 and his "runner"-posts for a while.

Edit: Just saw, that TB might have meant WCS EU+NA, not Global finals, that miight possibly be true with a few exceptions.

Shame Flash, SoO, and Zest didn't make it. Losing against players they usually wouldn't either, which I find a bit weird.
Flash losing to San and Zest losing to Dream seems so unusual.

Nice to see MMA and Bomber make it though, it would have been terrible if they didn't make it through one of the individual leagues.
