i have no idea what to think about these matches after seeing Soulkey and Marineking unexpectedly tear up their groups last week. i think Marineking has a better chance at an upset than Soulkey, though.
I'm definitely staying up late to watch this one! I had a front row seat at IPL4 for the GSTL Finals and could see the frustration and pain of the StarTale team at the time, not to mention the relief on MKP and his team!

MarineKing gonna mop the floor with everybody. He has shown that he is no longer at the behest of his own stylistic play. Now he just does the best build for every map. We saw him go 2-0 2-0 in his group against two freaking top notch protosses. This dude is hell bent on victory and you nerds best get out of his way or he will take your lunch money and wrinkle your school clothes.

MarineKing 3-0 Parting because MarineKing is on another level right now. He's back to his best in the world form like I'm 2012, probably even better than that. I have not seen great play from a Terran in months. Although parting is a top 3 protoss right now, I can't see bum beating the best Terran in the world.
Soulkey 3-1 Zest because Zest is in a big slump versus Zerg right now. Soulkey is still a top 5 zerg. Soulkey will probably lose to some random all in, but I can't see Zest beating him in a macro game with the way they are both playing right now.

WoW i just caught up with group A through the vods MK looks so strong. But I only half agree with your prediction. PartinGs blink control and forcefields are miraculous.

Bombers second breath, MMA's second breath, Life's, maybe mkps. I REALLy like the landscape formed by these recent events which thus is sc2 a lot different then sc1 but I think the histroy of sc2 will be quite a fun won. Hpfully as years go by we will leave the phase of player who win a lot through long periods of times to striahg up bonjwas. it would be quite a fun phase to look back on

Just play the numbers. There is no reason to try to out think Protoss when almost all of them do proxy stargate builds.

Yeah, the SG was probable from the scout. The bunkering for the attack afterwards was completely blind as far as I recall. It made sense since he had an advantage and knows how Parting plays to invest that advantage into surviving.

Ryu Won is the best SC2 coach of all time. Won 2 GSTLs (though his wins were less impressive than Choya's wins), but was instrumental in the early victories of MMA, Soulkey's GSL, sOs' Blizzcon and led Jin Air to the playoffs of PL before his team lost cause the only player on his team who could perform was Maru.

Going back to where Zest moved out to take his third... I think Soulkey missed a chance by not researching burrow. Burrowed banes at the bottom of the ramp using lings to draw sentries over them would have been great.

Thats good to see that he is still trying , and not retiring , being teamless for a couple of months now , and i don't know why teams aren't profiting from him .

Losing from being one base up in the early game is probably even more frustrating... Zest just couldn't do anything to punish the greed from Soulkey with that late warp gate... which I'm totally fine with!

I'm not dissing Soulkey I understand he was most likely going to use that to abduct units.
I'm just saying the viper itself turned out to suck given that it died almost immediately upon popping xD

PartinG ran up the main ramp a few times and lost a lot. MKP played well though.
I don't know what happened with MarineKing, but whetever it is - it's glorious. Between ForGG winning DH:W and MK acting it's late 2010 or early 2011, it's really great for the game.

Might be the case, but in that case he lost to TY. Anyway, he got eliminted in the group stages and again by TY/PartinG.

According to the recommended games polls in the OP, MarineKing vs PartinG game 3 and Zest vs Soulkey game 2 are the most recommended. The former may be slightly biased though.
I knew MarineKing would destroy Parting...that was just one of the easiest predictions out there. But I think nobody saw Zest beating Soulkey, especially when he's in a PvZ slump right now. Oh well. Good job Zest.

MKP!!! I knew parting would try to cheese him just like he cheesed flash. So happy MKP was able to hold those off unlike Flash. I hope MKP 2.0 is here to stay because the scene could use him being good again! The scene is so boring without the king!

I think he is here to stay. He really is the best Terran (maybe also fOrGG) right now, no questions asked. The way he played versus Parting was unbelievable. We have not seen a Terran this good since Mvp back in the day. But yes, let's hope he can pull off perfect play like this always. Excited to him 3-0 Zest later. Also excited to see him dominate foreign tournaments like back in the day.

And it's hard to tell who is the best Protoss in the world right now since none of them are doing that well right now.
