Actually, funny story about this. When I left, I mentioned to my parents that I was playing 2v2s with a professional player and they freaked out. Then my dad and I walked to dinner while my mother drove my youngest brother and I clarified that I was playing starcraft, not bridge, with a professional player, and he was like "Oh, that's ok then. If it was bridge you'd be in trouble, though." Then at dinner I mentioned it was Scarlett and both my parents freaked out again

Your parents know who Scarlett is? That's pretty cool. I tried to show my mother the pro scene once and she thought it was the dumbest thing ever. She thinks all sports except golf are dumb though.

couldn't tell you. Its the only one she ever has shown any interest in. my step dad, however saw me playing the game one time and was impressed with how much multitasking it took, but also didn't really get the pro scene

My parents realize that there's a pro scene but they haven't figured out how far I am disconnected from it, play-wise. I was watching my omiloleague replay and this sort of conversation ensued.
Me: "This guy has 250 APM!"
My mother: "Isn't a lot of that spam though?"
Me: *is impressed* "Yeah, but later on in the game he'd need more than 250… if I even survive that long." -.-
They also think I'm a lot closer to professional level than I am
