Current line?
Including Polt and MMA is just as crazy.

Well, technically there is jjakji between them, and as much as I love him, I don't think he embodies the korean seal of quality as much as Mvp (incredible talent for winning even in dire situations), Maru (constant mechanical heavy agression) and INno (machine who actually learnt to adapt).

Now I fear the dong might not make blizzcon. If pigbaby or hero or forGG makes wcs finals. The jaedong gets pushed out.

In fact they have to win to push Jaedong out, and I don't think that's very likely. Jaedong is definitely in a dangerous spot, don't get me wrong, but I'm ready to bet he'll keep his 16th place.

I missed the games.
Were they good? Any game was very good? Or you felt they were dissapointed overall?
I saw in a comment it was a roach/bane all-in the first two games? It makes me feel very underhelmed so far atleast.

The games aren't good games in and of themselves, but there's some great drama and psych warfare of the sort that saw sOs triumph over Jaedong last year. It's a pretty unique finals IMO.

And u're aiming for the very top, during year and 3 months I belive. And u lost ur first foreigner tournament in finals straight forward, what if u are cursed forever to be second? if you think second place at the highest level of competition is bad or a curse then you just have a stupid mindset When the pressure gets to you, over and over, in the same way, it does have a negative effect on you :\ if you have a poor competitive mindset, sure No, if you lose five finals in a row while being the best player in the world for at least 2 of them, it hurts you no matter what. There is no competitor who wouldn't be hurt by that. nah Do you compete in anything yourself? I feel like there is often a disconnect between people who watch pro players lose in high-stakes situations that think "Well, at least he got there! He should be happy!" and the competitors themselves. Losing is tough, in finals (repeatedly) especially so. if you cant handle losing you have an emotional problem you should fix Can confirm Yeah, but 5 times? you guys are crazy, try getting into 5 finals and losing all 5 of them and then share your pathetic opinions

pretty disappointing overall. The last game had its moments, but it was mainly soO's 1-1 roach push being scouted, abbandoned, being behind, Innovation screwing up and soO trying to end it but couldn't, hence lost.

5 short bad games > 5 long bad games, at least
|
yes most of the games were "bad" defined as early push / cheese
was pretty crowded at the stadium, had to stand throughout since all the seats were taken at least one hour before the start. innovation was making funny gestures after game 5 haha great that he could pull himself back after being in the hole

I expected heavy duty cheeses. Whatever gets the job done and 4-2 is good enough.
WP Inno! stay safe soO~

I would not like that, even if it would be well deserved of course. Doesn't seem unlikely at all. Jaedong does not deserve to go to Blizzcon this year. There I said it. I'd seriously rather have either of those guys, OR Snute over Jaedong. Well we'll have to wait and see I guess, we could even end up with Scarlett and Bunny at Blizzcon. I wouldn't mind that. Scarlett going to Blizzcon would mean she won WCS AM this year and that would be fucking rad, ditto with Bunny. Jaedong going to Blizzcon right now is just due to his traveling and the sheer number of events he's been to. His results in WCS AM have been terrible. The fact he's even in danger of losing his spot after how many events and free points he's soaked up just speaks enough on its own to how nonexistant his results have been this year. He hasn't looked like a player that should be competing at the culmination tournament of the year at all this year. Let someone else more deserving have it.
Through travelling and through actually winning games at those events, too. His failures this year are terribly overstated, while his victores are undersold. Both years he made 6 semi-finals before Blizzcon. This year he won 2, and got stuck at semi's 4 times. Last year he got second 5 times, which is about equal. The competition wasn't very different, either (besides his first miracle run in WCS Season 2). He had a 54.3% win-rate against offline Korean competition and everyone was excited to see him. This year he's at 52.7% and suddenly he doesn't deserve to be there, while making the finals with his 54.3% last time. If he makes it this year, I won't be surprised if he makes it to Ro8/Ro4 again.
I know Snute is a foreigner and I'd absolutely love to see him there too, but he got the points the same way Jaedong did. Same for Naniwa last year, or even Taeja this year. Fact is, Taeja was better than Jaedong at many of those tournaments, but Jaedong was better than many other people. I love Mvp, but I feel Jaedong has more right to a spot than Mvp had last year, as Mvp basically dropped off completely after an amazing first season. But that's how a yearly point system works. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
But on-topic: The final game was really well played from both sides, which I'm glad I got to watch. Congrats Innovation for winning, and for having an amazing shot at reaching Blizzcon now. Poor soO, he really deserves a win by now. He's kind of like Taeja in GSL, who during his prime had his absolute solidness carry him very far, but then never being able to bring that little extra in the final stages. I hope for his sake he ends up anywhere but second at Blizzcon, that would just be crushing.
