It's too bad that the only terrans that actually try different styles (instead of just relying on god like micro like Maru) don't get rewarded (see bbyong). Seems like if you picked protoss and tried different styles you could base an entire career off it (see MC, herO, san, sOs), just is inherent in the way blizzard designed the races with Terran relying so heavily on tier 1 and Protoss relying so much on tech paths. He was just straight up better then everyone else. Hes best progamer ever lived for a reson you know. SC2 is just too dumbed down to make it real progaming enviroment. No wonder why its not possible to dominate is such a way anymore as Flash did for couple of years back. SC2 is slowly dying for a reason.
Oh I haven't seen one of these posts in a while. Welcome !!!!

Basically there was no good sc2 player yet Mvp Well, most of the things that he has achieved was at the time when the big boys were still playing BW. that's like saying Boxer wasn't valid because when he played players like jaedong or flash didn't play on a pro level yet.

What's the point? The game is more balanced now than ever, I'd say. The last patch was great. But I guess you're just looking for a ban. there is a difference in balanced winrates and balanced game. lets say a storm whipes all terran units on the map and terran wins with 50% with 2 rax in tvp we would only see 2rax in tvp every game, have 50% in winrates. would you call in balanced? the missing diversity is really hurting the game! dude really? after flash won the probably most stacked IEM in history and taeja rekt zest you are coming up with that? Shenzhen was more stacked imo. even if it was, which i do not agree with, a terran still won it, so my point remains

Damn that's tough. That's pretty incredible to me. All such standout players, and have been for a long time. They just didn't quite tally up enough points in this year's "circuit," which is a shame, surely if they were all at all the big foreign tourneys things would have turned out very different. I can't believe soO quite possibly (or probably?) won't make it, that's gotta be the toughest. Still I'll enjoy Blizzcon, but..
If soO doesn't beat Stats (which I've been hipster picking) then it's a good chance that someone will surpass him. Bogus would pretty much need to win the GSL and Rain probably needs to at least make it to the finals.

The racial distribution at the beginning of this tournament was 9/4/3 in favor of protoss... it was mostly likely there would be a PvP final, especially since soO got knocked out And why is that exactly? Caus emeta is still so much biased towards toss? Right.
because protoss were favoured in season 2, which was before the widow mine patch.

Qualifiers was actually 35 Protoss - 50 terran - 41 zerg (~7:10:8) into 3 protoss -3 terran - 2 zerg. So it's still disproportional.

Flash has been mediocre since he started playing SC2, now he's finally getting decent. Maru's been a top terran for almost 2 years now

ah I love hero ♥ I like how hero managed to pull through against all the odds with the current 55% TvP. I was actually sure it was higher for Terran, that WM buff really switched the game around

Flash's skill set just doesn't translate as well in SC2 compared with BW, I'm more surprised that Fantasy didn't become an instant star in SC2, he was always the much more small scale and multitasking player compared with Flash's shear mechanics.

Since Maru didn't even qualify we can definately say two weeks ago flash was definately better, maybe that switched back to maru now, dunno we will see.
