Full tournaments with their own stages, match-by-match schedules, and three of them with their own WCS points. Those are NOT qualifiers.
They act like qualifiers, just like the DH:Open events did for Dreamhack Winter last year.

I really like the storyline IEM has with Huk vs Leenock and Snute vs herO.
For one thing, these guys went head to head in the beginning of the open bracket, so its a double rematch.
Second, the Huk/Leenock match is a classic that has so much history.
And the Snute/herO is their Blizzcon story, with both of them given the "second chance" to continue that dream.

They kinda are, cause winning these events give you a seed to the grand finals aka qualifiers to the grand finals
I repeat, by that logic, the first season of Code S this year was a qualifier for GSL Global.
Cinim explained it better than I did, I'm too tired.

Global & North America didn't give any points so they can be qualifiers. no one said qualifier couldnt give lot of money Online was a pure qualifier with no prize pool so they meet the "at least 25% must be from qualifiers" rule, that's good

I don't think an event giving WCS points can be a qualifier, else I don't see a problem with it

Dreamhack Winter was after Blizzcon and had no relevance to the WCS system, which is what's being discussed here.

If Red Bull Washington will be granted WCS points by blizzard, they are actually violating their own rules, so I highly doubt that it will happen. Gfinity also violated the rule of having 16 or more players
The rules state that just 8 players must be on site, the 16+ players part is not specified, but yea, I'm not really sure on that one.

ROFL did they really ask Rotti to wake up for nothing ? :x

The dumbest thing of all for WCS was not taking the points that were awarded in the season finals last year and making the WCS region tournaments worth more. The fact that Jaedong can qualify for Blizzcon with 2 Ro32s and a Ro16 is absolutely ridiculous. You might as well not even care about doing well in the region tournaments if you can afford to just show up to stuff.

This is still not worse than the last MLG. XD
