Ah hiding his builds by not placing in 1v1. Smart.

He was Diamond 1v1 last season

I think it's cool that anyone can enter. We get a tournament like this, and then next week we get a super stacked IEM.

This is the upside to open tournaments. It's sports. Everyone should have a chance to compete, even if he loses horribly.

Just like the samoan guy who ran the 100m in 14 seconds in the Olympic Games or World Championships, don't remember.

I agree too. It also gives 'regular' players a chance to play against the pros they look up to, and possibly discover that they CAN become a pro player.

In the end, it was Hyun, even if Cheeto was top 50 NA GM he probably would've lost still, good try and gg by him tho

At least if he was top 50 NA GM he prob would of had a better timing build, but anything thats not GM doesnt really stand up to pros. I mean they get paid money to play for a reason.

Yeah, Eric Moussambani from Equatorial Guyana. He trained in rivers and passed the qualifiers because two swimmers did a false start. He swam the 100 m 8 seconds slower than the winners of 200 m I think.

I found the 100 m guy. He's not from Samoa but Tuvalu and beat his record with 15"66.

I get that its not every exciting tho, especially on the main stream to watch a top pro stomp a non-pro. I like open tournaments, but imo the main stage should hopefully try to show some more balanced games skill wise.

It may not be as high level as two top pros, but even a diamond vs diamond game would produce more interesting scenarios/tense moments. Compared to GM vs plat... one cant do anything to the other player, and one is bored and its not very exciting to watch 100 supply vs 50 supply fights cause we know whats gonna happen already.

This is exactly why I think everyone below GM should cheese the pro players. At least that way there's a chance
