why doesn't anyone ever add hydras when this happens? I've watched like 10 zvzs in 2 days and not a single hydra in sight once it goes roach on roach.

They are really slow so you force yourself to pretty much only stay defensive if you make hydras.

I think this basically comes down to surprise. If Slam can catch Fist off-guard once, just once, then he'll win the game.

You don't see base trades in ZvZ that often. It's pretty cool.

Hm if Slam had preserved all his roaches and just danced around while using his long distance mining base he maybe could've made it. They had almost equal army supply.

THAT is a big upset. Slam, who qualified for Challenger all 3 seasons this year, who is IN WCS America Premier League, just got knocked out Round 1, by a Spider player.
Congrats to Fist, that's a big score for him.
