Give me your arguments. Nope. He's the best Maru is better! Give him the chance playing in DHs, HSCs and IEMs and he would be swimming in money already.
Maru didn't even come close to qualifying for this tournament

I like this casting/analyst group. We have two great groups so we can pull of two Premiers in one weekend

What??? They're both doing military service, but retirement? It's not impossible to come back, especially for Taeja given how young he is.

Until I see him do it, Taeja is the best. No one wins more. He's the best. SC2 is the only "sport" where winning the most doesn't mean being the best to a large part of the fan base. Makes zero sense to me.

I think Taeja's going out on his terms because of his wrists. Bomber, I could see him trying again in a couple years. People have done their time and come back before. Stardust was on Air Force ACE.

Give me your arguments. They are already spewing the "weekend tournaments dont count" mentality - its fucking classic. I don't get this. I'm a zerg player and I love Solar but I have to tip my hat to Taeja. He's damn incredible. The moment that made it for me was when some banes were charging a bunker defending his natural, and he unloaded them, targeted them down and got back into the bunker to finish the rest off. All while macroing and attacking Solar in 2 different places. I mean, damn... what can you do as Zerg vs that skill.
Those Marines looked like they were action movie heroes. Not even exaggerating. The reaction time on Taeja for getting them out, popping those Banes, and getting them back in was Hollywood pro.

I'd say he is the best, but with one small proviso. I think that on his own, Taeja is probably the most gifted terran player. He has great mechanics (even with his wrists), and has good strategic reads as well as "star sense". However, what Taeja lacks is a proper support system which the Kespa teams have (sorry teamliquid, i love you but kespa you are not). This is why in tournaments with preparation time, Taeja will be at a big disadvantage. I also think this is why Taeja mostly plays standard (very well). He does not have support that lets him prepare builds for people.

Overall, this was an EXCELLENT IEM! For real, one of the best tournaments this year! Good format and stacked brackets!
