Great to see MLG back! Awesome stuff. I think he was quite good. To each their own I guess
He was hyping Scarlett too much when she had very little chance to win in game 3. Also I don't think Day[9]'s actually retiring.

Goddam it MLG, every time we go for a macro thread you hit the sickest of timings at weird junctures that end it.

Polt - gracious and polite as always, saying Scarlett will do well and he wants to meet her again later in the tournament.

Alright, back in a while, have to press a shirt for a wedding tomorrow.

Ah, felt a bit bad for Scarlett on Frost, I think, after she lost that muta clunk, she wanted to be "safe" and chose not to engage, and she pulled her units up to defend her 5th, in a very weird angle, and it went to shit after there. I think if she just engaged in the open, she could keep doing what she was doing.
Kinda lost momentum and speed, couldn't get a good engagement, couldn't leave that spot, and he could take the bottom left side, mass minerals, and get back the game. Felt that was the biggest moment in the game.
Also called it yesterday "kinda same build all day, he'll switch tomorrow!".
But I bet Scarlett knew as well, think she missread the 3rd game, still well deserved win by Polt.

Once the mutas got hit, scarlett couldnt put on any more pressure to Polt and he could just get everything he wanted behind it. Similar situation in game 3 with the hatch snipe. Those games looked a lot more Polt-esque than yesterday. And I was so hopeful after game 1, very sad to see indeed.

so hes not at University of Texas anymore?
did he get a degree there or just taking some time off from school or?

LOL even MLG's streaming service has figured out that my wife and I are having a baby - do you have any idea how weird it is to see advertisements for top-of-the-line gaming gear and baby first aid products back to back?

My understanding was that he was taking time off from school to continue being a pro-gamer.

Also does seem like Scarlett prefers to keep terran from being maxed so she can get the benefits of her close-to-100 drones and not the drawbacks. Polt managed to max out with the undisturbed 5th.
