This norm is not proper group play. It's a mini bracket where player A can get kicked in the balls by Zest, beat player B - who did not have to play Zest at all - head-to-head over two series but still go out because he lost the second one. That is the not so cool part of it.

as much as i hate to say it, tournaments should consider using extended series in GSL type groups

MLG gave it such a bad name that I can't get over it. I mean, they made it carry through from the groups. The groups!

that's why i hate to say it. but just for a single group stage i think it could be a decent solution. don't count it later on obviously.

I agree. The playing someone twice problem is an argument for extended series or some other advantage for the earlier winner, not for round robin.
I Protoss winner, could it be?

I have some lego too, let us construct the most fiendish weapons we can conceive of and then meet in glorious battle in the sight of the gods. I'm thinking about just throwing random pieces on the ground, I don't think there is a more painful way to lose a fight.

So, finally back from writing PM, does anyone have updates on Flubz? It's interesting to see a saudi-arabian player here, hope he does well.

MlorD was supposed to play against him but he didn't show up apparently.

Hmm, to bad, I assumed, he would lose to MlorD anyway, but he might have had a chance against the 2 swedish guys.
