Every commercialized competition is, at its core, entertainment first. If people don't enjoy what they see, no matter how much work and dedication and skill is being displayed, the sport is unlikely to flourish. Alicia's job is to win, which he did. Sc2's job is to entertain, which is a little more of a mixed bag.

I like Alicia, I thought he had a very reasonable chance of advancing considering his recent form, and it's always nice to see people from eons ago still compete at the highest level. But I would've been fine either way tbh.

Players aren't responsible for the entertainment - they're supposed to win.
