Oh definitely not unjustified. I thought they were all going to go away though, and awful lot just never did. I mean, kudos to them for adapting to the metagame. I thought for sure Symbol was going to disappear in HOTS with his crazy spine-wall infestor late games and he's still balling it up.

Dunno if I'd agree with that. The main ones that I can think of that suddenly became irrelevant come HotS were Slivko and Jonnyrecco.
The ones that really ignited the whine such as Vortix, Nerchio, and Snute have continued to thrive.

How does that make it unjustified? The matches they were playing determined who was the better player in that specific version of the game at that specific time. Absolutely no reason to pretend they shouldn't have won what they won.
I don't want to go down that Wol 2012 road again. But TvZ was not evenly matched in that year and a lot of zergs won games because of it.

Symbol is probably the most versatile of any Zerg out there in his willingness to switch his entire play style within a month.
