ah yes, right. If HeroMarine loses again close on saturday, they should really give the spot to him, for losing 6 times with 1 map away. :D^^
but that wont happen.

ESL wanted to announce who gets duckdeoks spot this week, so thats still open I think inviting First would make the most sence - he is not signed up for the qualifier yet, but has expressed his wish to switch to europe, he had the highest WCS points from everyone, who is known to switch regions and he has played in european tourneys before (winning IEM Katowice). I would suck a bit for the people with more WCS points than him, who are still in challenger (Mvp, Naniwa, ForGG), but still, I can see First being a very reasonable invite.

I don't think it is possible to invite someone who hasn't even played the EU qualifiers at this point. That would simply be totally unfair to everyone else and undermine the credibility of the whole tournament. They can advance one of the challenger league players, but how to select one, if not letting them earn the spot in a mini tournament, is beyond me.

We could possibly have another Challenger spot up for grabs as Lucifron will, according to his manager, go inactive as he returns to his studies.
He will remain on mouz.
Now I'm sad.

You still have Dear. I wonder if a 25th player will be able to qualifiy or someone will be invited.

Indeed, inviting First would make no sense at all to me either. Mvp is the most obvious choice (most points in WCS 2013 among the Challenger League players). Ofc. Mvp would be the most obvious choice. I just have a weird feeling, about announcing a direct replacement one week in advance and then wait so long to actually announce it. Also "direct" replacement sounds somehow, like it is someone from the outside. If you would ask me, I would probably invite Mvp back to premier again, since it is the most logical solution. But from the perspective I get, First seems to be the choice, they make - not the best choice IMHO, but the most likely.
@BaneRiders: I think inviting someone from the qualifiers would be a fatal mistake, people who get through the qualifiers getting into challenger, but one guy failing at it getting a direct invite into premier would just seem wrong (Unless they give the premier spot to GoOdy, I would be perfectly fine with that). Promoting a challenger player would make more sence to me, but then again, I´m not talking about what I would do, I am speculating on what they would do, based on the vibe I am getting. But then again, I could be totally wrong, because it is just speculation.

Small reminder that tomorrow will be the last european only qualifer, and further reminder, that everyone that wants to play the Wildcard qualifier better get their 200 cumulative wins in before Sunday And there are some great names already in for the wildcard qualifier! YoDa Patience TAiLS I thought First was playing on ladder aswell? Did he not meet the 200 win requirement yet? And I guess your admins are manually checking the accounts if the 200 wins have been met? But with YoDa playing, Sunday already looks like a lot of fun, As far as we can see, First hasn't signed up. We are indeed manually checking each player for their wins, it's a long process!
On what account does YoDa have 200 wins? The only YoDa I see there is far from 200, so maybe I'm looking at the wrong one.

In the past when wcs players etired they were just a freewin in the groups. No additional qualifier spots were given. e.g. Stephano, but i think it happened with someone else too, just cant remember, maybe violet?
What if lucifron finds his lost passion when wcs premier league starts? I doubt he'll formally forfeit his spot since it would just eliminate an option for a comeback unnecessarily. Theres no reason to do that.

Giving the premier league spot to a korean who has no relation to the EU community (First) would undermine the entire reformed concept of the WCS aiming to promote local talents. Either declare the empty spot as a freewin or give it to someone local who has been an integrated part on the european server e.g. Grubby. Another solution would be to make a small tournament consisting of the losers of Challenger League bracket stage 3. Winner grabs the final spot
