What do you think of your group? Well, I think I'm lucky enough to draw Pirfikrthon and his plethora of TvP problems in the first match. I'll probably just blink all-in him for the fast victory. Other than that, two more Protosses, shouldn't be too hard to cheese them out of the tournament as well.
Is there anybody you particularly want to play if you advance? Maybe monk or Jer, since they're like 80% against me and I need a grudge match. If I'm extra lucky, monk's computer will lag out and explode during the game. (This is fairly likely). EDIT: AND FUCK NO, I don't want to play Yoshi and fucking mech. Fuck mech. Seriously.
What do you feel of the current state of your race, and opponents races? Protoss is pretty good right now, but I only really feel comfortable in PvZ at the moment. I think getting out of this group is just a matter of being more wily and clever than the other Protosses. I know zerg is "underpowered" at the moment, but zerg is probably gonna win this tournament.

Terrans. They don't have immortals, which counter mech, or swarm hosts which counters tank and muta which counters thor and lot of ling counter hellbat and spine counter raven. Also I hope there won't be any TL Strat teamkills.

Actually yeah, at one point yesterday I made a guy micro five stalkers against wave after wave of a-move proves Afro about a half hour, as I had my 7/8ths of the map protected by the Great Wall of tempests. It was glorious. But after I lost a different late game PvP I decided to just cheese my way through a bunch. Turns out blink all ins are fun and effective!

ya, some of the games can be quite fun. Some games, I've been able to do whatever I want and win while in other ones, if I don't play macro or play seriously, I get rolled (in bronze XD). In a PvT, I blocked my opponent's rax area with a pylon and just kept him moving over the place as I expanded, got some stalkers then I just won with pure stalker micro against his marines lol. He quit without a gg XD Micro games are more fun than macro games ^^

Whitewing got this imo. I don't see how Yoshi can come back against a 4 base toss when Whitewing is that far ahead and Yoshi is mostly on a ground army. His AA is 3 vikings. Whitewing can probably go carrier and win it easy atm

hmm I guess? I dunno. I think mvp makes mech look good but it depends on the player(most make it turtle style)
To be fair, that looked boring because of how much damage I did early on with the 10 gate, then defended the follow up aggression from him with almost no damage, so I was way ahead all game. He had to turtle and had no real chance for aggression, had he tried to it would have been an instant loss.
When mech doesn't get that far behind it can be less boring to watch.
There's a good chance that I will not be able to finish the LR thread tonight because the games will probably be, will update when I wake up.

thanks, I tried lol. I think I overmicroed my slings for that exp though and maybe I was a bit too aggressive. Before he took that third, I think I was on par or ahead but once those banes detonated on the wrong thing, I pretty much lost most of my army and couldn't do much so he took the lead with that third then the mutas made it worse with the supply blocks and the misrallied OLs ><;
Game 2 wasn't even close lol. I should've just went standard and added nukes later on but figured early on, they'll be less chance for detection and I'll be safe with tanks. I underestimated lichter, won't happen again! Game 1 was lol worthy.

well, it was a gamble I took since I figured he would be the type to try to do the same but he might not scout, I was wrong lol. Yes, you are probably correct though. In the future, I'll leave hidden bases till either earlier or much later on in the game and focus on getting my worker production up faster. I had larva sitting for good portions because I kept on getting supply blocked. Also screwed up my control groups as well since I'm used to 1-5 hatchery instead of 5+ hatchery ><;

2-1 yeah and he actually had a pretty good ling bane bust going on in game 3 where he tanked the defensive widow mine with an overlord (PIMPEST PLAYS 2014) and his lings and banes ran around but Yoshi held it off. Then we learned that he's been diamond league 6 times and I stopped cheering for him.
Also, forgot to say big thanks to the casters! It was nice to see that it was a relaxed and passionate atmosphere and wasn't just screaming and all that other stuff for the sake of it

:O Well, I hope I don't disappoint you but I was Plat within the first year of SCII's release (after Masters got implemented). I never got to diamond although I did play diamond players and won/lost some before playing less of the game. Having said that, shame on lichter for keeping such important information from us, the viewers (or players). Had I known I was facing a diamond zerg, I would've called my inner plat terran for assistance (although I'll still get rolled lol). If this was a PvZ in BW, results might've have been different for game 2 lol.
