Haha I know And there was plenty of crying over that too Oh the crying can get intense when a Taeja/HerO match is scheduled
Just imagine if HerO would have won and caused Taeja to retire... that's an even worse Teamkill!

Taeja won't beat life in a bo5/bo7 imo. based on this bo3 you think Life has the edge? :o Based on what? This Bo3 didn't say anything. Game 1 Life was in control the whole game, then had one of those derp moments where he suicided like 10 Banelings and floated over the Marines with 20 Mutas and then he didn't have enough units to defend the 5th base. Second game was a huge gamble as Apollo said because he thought that he can trap the Hellions, but Hellions just get back in the base and all-in failed. I don't say that Life has the edge, but these games really didn't show much, these guys play on such high level that anything can happen in Bo5. And the fact that Life chose wrong/bad builds and made big mistakes is the reason why he would win a bo5 but not this bo3. Got it You realize that those mistakes Taeja can make in next series, and that Life can play differently? Life didn't make those mistakes against Innovation or other Terrans that he was playing. As I said, everything can happen. Up until this game both players have been playing very very well. But now one of the showed weakness and you say that player is the one with the edge in a bo5. Just a bit strange. I've never said that Life has the edge... Re-read last sentence of my first post, and last sentence in my second post...
oh sorry got confused by the quotes and who wrote what. ^^

So best player then. Well, peak performances and the hight of their peaks also have a word in this, when there are Soulkey and INnoVation which have not been far off in terms of success and consistency, but have the more meaningful tournament wins. You could argue Taejas peak performance is right around there. Look at who he has beaten here. Innovation, MMA, Hero, Life, sOs, ForGG, and Sjow. Look at DH Bucharest and it looks pretty similar. The whole idea its a foreign tournament so not as hard is a little silly in this case. He played only 1 foreigner and only one other player isn't a code S level player. Don't want to go in detail too much, but winning a GSL is a much stronger peak. Not just playerwise (Dear, Soulkey, soO, Maru; while the players you call Code S calibre have partly failed to qualify for Code S more than once this year, or really aren't like ForGG or Sjow) but also formatwise. The preparation time and the longer series in the later stages make it much harder imo. Edit: Don't want to take anything from Taeja, but for as long as he avoids Code S, it's hard to judge. Actually only MMA failed to qualify for Code S. Life sOs Innovation are all in code S. Also Taeja didn't avoid code S. If you actually go back and read what happened. Taeja thought he had to choose at the start of WCS KR season 1 to go to WCS AM or stay. Back then his wrists were killing him and he was considering retiring. He committed to WCS AM before he had to and his wrists started to improve. If it was up to him there is a good chance he would be in Code S. He also barely missed the ro8 his last season getting cheesed out by Bomber in the ro16. Now its unrealistic for him to go back because he would have to go through Code B then Code A just to get back. Which basically means he throws away a free season where in WCS Am that could end up being 10k plus easily.
(also wasn't calling Sjow or Forgg code S meant Hero MMA Innovation sOs and Life)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he may be thinking about retiring. Yes I know that but he is way too young and too good to retire. Hence he pulls a Stephano. Well here's the deal. If he retires now, he pulls an Elway and goes out on top. If he waits, he may just fall off and have a Favre like end to his career. Disclaimer: May be confusing to people who aren't from the US Confusion confirmed Okay here we go EU version. Some football player retires after winning whatever the hell is the big football championship in EU in back to back years, and is forever remembered for being a champion. Then a different player who was just as good won that championship, but then stuck around for 10 more years and got old and slow and bad at kicking balls and whatnot until people thought of him as that old guy who can't play anymore yet refuses to retire. The first guy has the better legacy.
(football here meaning soccer don't worry Americans I got your back)
