Yes, it was an achievement with zerg even at the end of WoL. My god people's memories of that time are so clouded its ridiculous.

Quite on the contrary, I do remember very well HyuN vs Sniper followed by RorO vs Symbol as finals.

Indeed. And?

MVP was a scrub too because he used imba Terran during GomTvT? Just a ridiculous argument.

Mvp proved he could win even with when Terran was weakened. Where are Sniper and RorO now? Are Symbol and HyuN still potential Code S winners?

To be fair in WCS seasons 1 and 2 in HotS symbol was top 8

Indeed. Now Code B. Probably Code S RO16 at his best currently.

And where is Mvp?

In WCS Europe.

Yep not doing anything ever since hellbats got nerfed. See what I did?

You did nothing since you missed the point. Some players proved that they didn't need their race to be the dominant one to win. Some fell shortly after their race was back to normality, maintaining the doubts.

This applies to Life how? Remember him winning tournaments in HoTs when no other zerg could?

I may be missing something, but I think Life has won as many premier tournaments (and arguably harder ones at that) as Taeja, and their careers started out roughly the same way at roughly the same time. What makes you feel that Life needs to prove himself further while Taeja doesn't?

You are wrong, TaeJa won more premiers, but you could argue the quality of the tournaments if you want.

I don't think we actually need to argue the quality of said tournaments.

But anyway:
GSL, MLG, Blizzard Cup, ISQ, MLG, IEM, DHW

I count seven!

Before someone tries to hang me, yes I am aware that Taeja has 7 gold medals and Life only 6

Hahah, no there's not really any argument about who had harder tournaments, but that doesn't stop people. :D

I can think of arguments to take into account.
1. IPL TAC 3 isn't listed but is an extremely impressive result. He single handily got Liquid to the finals and almost double all killed IM to win the whole thing. Plus he went 23-3 against ONLY esf teams. Can't get better competition than that.
2. Taeja was fighting against arguably the most broken period in SC2 so far. Life was playing with that in his favor.
3. Taeja was more consistent in the GSL by far. Life never even made the ro8 again iirc. Taeja made ro8 4 times and ro4 twice again when almost no terrans could do that.

Just stop with the Mvp bashing. Better comparison would be a terran that managed to win GSL and then never got back to the throne... use Jjakji as example if you want but comparing Mvp to Sniper, Hyun is just stupid. Mvp was winning/getting to GSL finals through the whole WoL era.

He has serious health issues which is quite different from having your shining moment and then falling of into nothingness.

Yep I agree wrong example but still. Mvp is not doing better than Hyun or Symbol. And it's easy to bash Sniper when he's only playing in GSL Kr.

Seeing so much gate-nexus play recently really excites me. Time to dust it off and start using it on ladder again.
Ganzi beat me without stim. Ostojiy beat me with a nydus. Siphonn beat me with probes. Revival beat my sentry-immortal all-in.

I find this funny. HerO created this build in the EGTL house and brought it over to tournaments. Jaedong has to be the player who's seen it the most but this is the second time that HerO's beaten him with it now in two series.
