What makes you feel that Life needs to prove himself further while Taeja doesn't? You are wrong, TaeJa won more premiers, but you could argue the quality of the tournaments if you want. I don't think we actually need to argue the quality of said tournaments. But anyway: GSL, MLG, Blizzard Cup, ISQ, MLG, IEM, DHW I count seven! + Show Spoiler +Before someone tries to hang me, yes I am aware that Taeja has 7 gold medals and Life only 6 Hahah, no there's not really any argument about who had harder tournaments, but that doesn't stop people. :D I can think of arguments to take into account. 1. IPL TAC 3 isn't listed but is an extremely impressive result. He single handily got Liquid to the finals and almost double all killed IM to win the whole thing. Plus he went 23-3 against ONLY esf teams. Can't get better competition than that. 2. Taeja was fighting against arguably the most broken period in SC2 so far. Life was playing with that in his favor. 3. Taeja was more consistent in the GSL by far. Life never even made the ro8 again iirc. Taeja made ro8 4 times and ro4 twice again when almost no terrans could do that. I'll compile a list of players both have beaten for fair comparison, please hang on Just to clarify I am not trying to take anything away from Life. He is the only Zerg player I would ever root for and I think he is one of the best players in SC2 period. I just think to look at the names of the tournaments and say that Life is easily better is a very black and white statement when there is a lot more to look at.
I actually think the most broken era of SC2 was the very early WoL days. Luckily everyone was bad back then so no one blinked an eye when MKP lost a 2 rax proxy on close positions metalopolis.

ForGG has to 2-0ed Taeja now if he wants to go through.

Vikings weren't in the fight, six storms landed, everything died, gg

28 minutes... Three base protoss... Looks exactly like one of my games :D

Both lost one game to Leenock and now they are 1-1! Goooo JD :D

So if TaeJa > ForGG and Innovation > sOs we have Innovation in the upper bracket after all

Sure Life won head to head during a specific period of time (Although TaeJa wins overall head to head between them and won before and after the famous losses to Life). But the tournaments they won, Life did win harder and more prestigious ones.

ForGG vs sOs game 2 proves everything that is wrong with protoss... ForGG up 5-3 bases, up 50 supply, ForGG looks away for 2 seconds BOOM storm storm 200 supply -> 80 supply GG EZPZ

The idea of this build is to force units with stalkers, establish a pylon outside, keep creep contained and force queens to the front to let the oracle do its damage. Super smart build.

Stupid how you have a strong advantage through the whole game and lose it that quickly.
