I can't believe some punks dare to compare TaeJa to Life, guys won 2 premiers on Korean soil, TaeJa has won mediocrishly stacked foreign tournaments...Like Homestory cups and satellite dreamhacks...

What makes you feel that Life needs to prove himself further while Taeja doesn't? Probably that Life dominated for such a "short" timeperiod, while Taeja has been a force for years.
Taeja has become good early-mid 2012. Life won his first GSL mid 2012.

The rest of the GSLs that year were all incredibly Zerg favored and all won by zergs and the finals of the rest of GSLs were all ZvZs. Life won a GSL at his best, Taeja didn't, the end. What an achievement with Zerg at the end of WoL! Yes, it was an achievement with zerg even at the end of WoL. My god people's memories of that time are so clouded its ridiculous. Quite on the contrary, I do remember very well HyuN vs Sniper followed by RorO vs Symbol as finals. Indeed. And? MVP was a scrub too because he used imba Terran during GomTvT? Just a ridiculous argument. Mvp proved he could win even with when Terran was weakened. Where are Sniper and RorO now? Are Symbol and HyuN still potential Code S winners? To be fair in WCS seasons 1 and 2 in HotS symbol was top 8 Indeed. Now Code B. Probably Code S RO16 at his best currently.

I don't think we actually need to argue the quality of said tournaments.
But anyway: GSL, MLG, Blizzard Cup, ISQ, MLG, IEM, DHW
I count seven!
+ Show Spoiler +Before someone tries to hang me, yes I am aware that Taeja has 7 gold medals and Life only 6

What an achievement with Zerg at the end of WoL! You're one of two things: 1) An inconsolable terran whiner 2) Ignorant of the way Life won most of his games Both annoy me. Tbh, after watching TaeJa vs Soulkey from last WoL GSL Ro32 i am more than convinced that beating someone with muta ling bane in late WoL is not a large achievement at top level of play. Just because of map domination with dem queens and tanks being absolute crap. So no matter what strategy zerg used and no matter how many games they won, it isn't an achievement? You are not very smart are you? If zerg is 55% vs Terran and someone wins 7 maps in a row vs someone and a GSL, this means nothing? Just ridiculous. People forget how short the zerg dominance was in WoL and how little the winrates were actually unbalanced. It is not an achievement you can use as reasoning behind defining best in the world at top of his own play.
Yes it is, it very much is. The logical reasoning behind your argument is non existent. Basically according to you, a zerg could not be the best in the world during that era. Literally. Doesn't that sound stupid? because it is.
