Probably that Life dominated for such a "short" timeperiod, while Taeja has been a force for years.

Ha, nice "pizza.gg" joke, Apollo didn't quite catch it.

He had already started to fall off. That was like the week after he had lost TWICE to crank at MLG. He hadn't fallen completely off but it was definetly not his clear cut best. And also lets be honest that was when Zerg was starting to be kind of broken. The rest of the GSLs that year were all incredibly Zerg favored and all won by zergs and the finals of the rest of GSLs were all ZvZs. Life won a GSL at his best, Taeja didn't, the end. What an achievement with Zerg at the end of WoL! You're one of two things: 1) An inconsolable terran whiner 2) Ignorant of the way Life won most of his games Both annoy me. Tbh, after watching TaeJa vs Soulkey from last WoL GSL Ro32 i am more than convinced that beating someone with muta ling bane in late WoL is not a large achievement at top level of play. Just because of map domination with dem queens and tanks being absolute crap. Well to be fair. Taeja got his payback for that series later on.

JD just smashed hero. Great game and awesome read of what was going on.

Well, speaking of GSL history, TaeJa was first in Code S in GSL November 2011 and Life first in GSL Season 4 2012, which was almost a year after. So not quite at the same time.

Quite on the contrary, I do remember very well HyuN vs Sniper followed by RorO vs Symbol as finals. Indeed. And? MVP was a scrub too because he used imba Terran during GomTvT? Just a ridiculous argument. Mvp proved he could win even with when Terran was weakened. Where are Sniper and RorO now? Are Symbol and HyuN still potential Code S winners? To be fair in WCS seasons 1 and 2 in HotS symbol was top 8

Well Mvp also won a GSL championship against Squirtle and was a runner up in the finals vs. Life by the end of WoL when terran was probably the weakest ever.
He was the most consistent player in WoL.

You are not very smart are you? If zerg is 55% vs Terran and someone wins 7 maps in a row vs someone and a GSL, this means nothing? Just ridiculous. People forget how short the zerg dominance was in WoL and how little the winrates were actually unbalanced. It is not an achievement you can use as reasoning behind defining best in the world at top of his own play.

You might want to go back and check up on the old LR threads of the GSL Life won, when during the semis, Taeja was actually considered the favorite, and people were cheering that a Zerg had made it that far for a change.

His rise to fame was a little earlies as well, as far as I remember. Life is one of the greats too, no need to prove for sure, but he has hit lower lows than Taeja (and higher highs, too).

If you just count premier tournaments finsihed, TaeJa may be second with Life coming fourth but if take quality into account, Life is easily 2nd only to Mvp.
