I thought more people would be appraising the country's move to not participate in such events anymore until the WCG is brought up to speed.

Surprised d.Killer didn't make it in his region (SA), and EU - it's represented by Daishy, Hasu, LiveZerg and Brat_OK ?? And how the hell did Bling make it anyway :o, was UK a separate region or sth (the guy's even not in Premier, or at least I don't think he'll hold onto) ?? Also - where's Australia (or at least NZ) ?? The qualifiers must've been lacking a lot of good players.. rofl.. ![]() ![]() =============================================== Think PartinG's got this though.. (I think..)

That's a good question, where IS Finland? Never heard of it, sounds quaint, though. ![]() I have to say, WCG is always quite underwhelming in my opinion.

Everything wrong regarding flags got filled in by the TL mods, when they put this into news, so I take no responsibility for that.

BlinG actually won his Challenger Group, so if the system would remain unchanged, he would be in Premier League.

It's like if the GSL were to continue 10 years from now, but in a very very shitty state. That's only true because people stopped supporting it. They had huge potential but simply blew it. Maybe some of us will shed a single tear when it finally dies, but overall most of us agree that it has to die eventually. tldr: WCG = Anakin Skywalker

If everyone were to stop supporting GSL but they still hosted tournaments because they love eSports, then it would be the same as WCG. There are many reasons as to why people stopped supporting it. The only reason it meant something to some people is because it was the only place players from outside of Korea could really convene for PC games, but because of poor administration, game selection, and slow progress (it's like being stuck in 2006-08). It's always lackluster. Reason it got hyped? Because it's one of the oldest tournaments, but the industry has moved far above it. On November 13 2013 03:37 zimms wrote: No, WCG screwed up themselves. They have only themselves to blame when it comes to lack of progress and at the end of the day they're the decision makers.
