BarCraft Connect proudly presents: The BCON Clash #2!

A tournament by BarCrafts for BarCrafts. BarCraft Connect is launching this tournament to give the Starcraft community their own competition – fight for the honor of your city. First there will be local qualifiers for your BarCraft and the champion of each local scene will be able to represent his BarCraft in the BCON finals. More info here: http://bconclash.net/

[image loading]

The first BCON Clash was a success (http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/The_BCON_Clash) and now we aim for even more success with BCON Clash #2

Overview:

2 cups: One for bronze to platinum, one for diamond to gm

Every EU BarCraft that wants to participate can send its own champion to participate in the BCON Clash finals.

We are already able to announce a prize pool of € 500 and two spots in the ASUS ROG Tournament @ NorthCon 2013 in Germany!

The qualifiers

Every BarCraft hosts its own qualifier to determine the “low level” and “high level” champion to send to the final cup.
The qualifiers will be held on the weekend of the 2th/3th.11.2013. You can find more information on our website (http://www.bconclash.net) or on your local barcraft site.

Sounds great, how can I sign up?

Starting now, you can sign up for the qualifier at your local BarCraft event! Find a BarCraft near you at (link to website/map) and plan your visit. The first events will take place for the WCS EU Season 3 finals on the weekend of 5th/6th October. New events will be added regularly throughout October, so go and follow your local BarCraft site or their social media.
Every player, regardless of your his/her skill level (bronze to grandmaster), can participate and has a chance to win something! Only a visit of a local BarCraft is needed to get signed in – and that is more a treat then a need, right? Find a BarCraft near you @ http://www.bconclash.net

The BCON Clash #2

Every BarCraft champion will be competing in the cup from 20th to 23rd of November 2013. 20/21.11 will be the group stage, Sunday will be the playoffs.

Prizepool and the big win

Upper skill tournament:
500 € (1st: 150€ + slot, 2nd: 100€ + slot, 3rd: 100€, 4th: 50€, 5-8th: 25€)

The very special prize for the upper skill tournament are two spots in the ASUS ROG TOURNAMENT @NORTHCON (http://asusrogtournament.de/ )

Hey all,

The BCON CLASH #2 is happening this week!
group stage is on wednesday (group a & b) and thursday (c&d) at 7 pm cest and the ro8 will take place on saturday, starting at 3 pm
You can find all information on http://www.bconclash.net/news/10-news/19-group-phase-is-determined.html

Despite the great lineup of players we are lacking casters, especially english and other languages besides german
If you have time to cast on one or better on all of these days, write us an email to contact@barcraft-connect.net containing the following information:

* name
* twitch channel
* are you able to attach your stream to an tl event?
* language
* what you want to cast (groups a&b are played simultaneously as well as c&d, so you have to pick)

Besides our pro ro8 on saturday we also have our "casual" finals, for which we also need casters. If you want to cast that write it to us!

You can find more information on http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/The_BCON_Clash_2) and our http://www.bconclash.netwebsite

"Zerg has free units and 3 bases more than me? No problem, I´ll just outstarve him." GoOdy logic. And amazingly it works. Long live the general, there is a reason for his 93% vZ winrate on ladder.

Unfortunately the Swarm Host really pushes mech in this direction, since mech pushing forward on the ground can't be cost effective unless you do critical damage early on. Goody was more aggressive and interested in hitting timings in WoL TvZ.

I really dislike the SH. I hope they will do something to it, maybe buff it against bio like armies and nerf it against tanks. The stalemates it creates are just terrible.

Seriously? I remember game against Stephano where he was doing exactly the same thing, i.e. nothing. This is exactly the reason why so few people want to see mech buffed, because no one want to see game like this.

I remember that game, on Metropolis, which is a map where we saw similar things from other players (and even mass BC a few times in TvP). But it was far from a normal build.

All the respect he deserves but it really annoyes me to see Goody play. It makes sc2 kind
of boring. But i have to admit - it works. Congratulation.

Unfortunately the Swarm Host really pushes mech in this direction, since mech pushing forward on the ground can't be cost effective unless you do critical damage early on. Goody was more aggressive and interested in hitting timings in WoL TvZ.

Seriously? I remember game against Stephano where he was doing exactly the same thing, i.e. nothing. This is exactly the reason why so few people want to see mech buffed, because no one want to see game like this.

I will see ...))))

Can confirm, also like these games.

Playing Goody might kill someone at some point.

Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

GoOdy´s genius plan: Grind all other progamers into retirement and stay alive due slower mechanics to fight a battle for the world domination with Sjow, elfi and Knowme.

I remember that game, on Metropolis, which is a map where we saw similar things from other players (and even mass BC a few times in TvP). But it was far from a normal build.

Not only Metropolis, but a lot of maps. Goody game are usually so bad to be honest, I can understand why TLO just flame him during the game. He is doing nothing in all of his game, he had no chance to ever win that game,
and his entire strategy rely on his opponent to be so much bored and attack him. Thanks god there is Swarmhost to (most of the time) push terran away from this kind of strategy.

If his games would be bad, everyone could play like him. Which is obviously not the case. He has a quite different style of playing, but there is a reason, he is a proffesional player for three years now, so he can´t be that bad. Luci does´nt flame TLO either, when he relies on gimmicks to beat him, although he is the better player. That´s just not an appropriate kind of behaviour.

Newsflash: He won it.

Those Swarmhosts, that died, because GoOdy was using his ravens, while TLO wrote stuff in creep tumors? Because in fact he did stuff that game, otherwise he would not have lost 30k less. Also TLO was´nt bored, he was out of gas and probably just wanted to attack, before the Ravens were fully recharged.
