Looking at it on the premier page, http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Premier_Tournaments , I guess Code A did have a prize pool comparable to early MLGs, Assembly, and not too far off IEM

It shouldn't. That's like saying that a football team won a title after winning the second division.

Any tournament with Bomber playing Mvp for the title is pretty far from being merely D2.

Indeed, only Idra, Huk and Jinro actually qualified for it. Which is even less than "few". Bomber deserves the triple crown.

MMA, Bomber, Alive, Ryung, Coca, Keen, Violet, MVP

It was an insane tournament.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

i just finished watching the semifinals. Is there a reason why First choked so hard? he seemed really off his game the entire series. from the not spent chrono to the doom blink it all seemed like he wasn't quite on the top of his game. does anybody know?

He was seeded. Then he made Ro8 twice and was knocked out in last place in his group in GSL 2012 S4 i believe. After that he was eliminated from GSL completely.

God granted jaedong jvp powers at the expense of his zvt powers because he now looks freaking awful in zvt. Maybe one day, Flash will be merciful and return his zvt powers.

It was so beautiful how Bomber revisited classic marine tank to utterly demolish Jeadong in that last game. ;D
