Not all allins are equal. Sometimes you've got to fake pressure and pray for tech to come online or stop producing so many gas heavy units. There are more than a few times when you know it's been sniffed out and you see what's happening before the protoss is going to commit and you know that it's never going to work.
Admittedly MC's career is on the backs of proving everyone wrong about it working.

Rain had a pretty sick play and I can't believe no one picked up on it. He baited the marines up the ramp with the mothership core, then time warped the ramp at the same time he moved in to work on the bunkers, but he never managed to forcefield all the marines at the top of the ramp (I can't remember).

I really didn't understand why Rain even went up the ramp with his immortals. Maru was losing so much mining by pulling so many SCVs and he scouted that Maru went 3CC so all he was pumping out was marines because he had no gas.
