Of course not, who decides 'well these guys aren't as good as others' and what number of top players do you need to be Tier 1? One more, 10 more, 50 more? Thats basically a opinion and you can set rules on that and would be random as fuck. And tournament organizers have no influence if they dont invite (pay for travel) players, so another random factor. Prizepool and structure should be the only criteria, you could do venue as well (available spectator seats for example) but other then that you really cant, cause it would be a joke. Imagine the top tennis players all getting the flu before Wimbledon, you think ATP will say well this is not a grandslam anymore all the top players arent coming so lets treat this like a challenger. Ridiculous. | ||
