Here's how I would head-coach it: Game 1: FlaSh vs whatever. Games 2->6: Protoss players go ALL-IN EVERY SINGLE GAME to try to win 2-3 games (if FlaSh takes the first game, then we win two games to take it to Ace. If we get lucky we'll win the whole thing... if not then we hope that the all-ins manage to take 3 games and get FlaSh to the ace).

KT 3-0 Stars in HotS. Though that includes a match in the all-kill format(4-1) and a match against Stars' B-team(4-2). The other one is 4-1 with Soulkey beating Flash. Stars' isn't really that deep anymore. With Light and Zero sucking(even had to replace them with Aria and Bravo in some matches) and free and flying only doing kinda ok in the last rounds. Basically, whoever wins between KT and STX will win this season. Judging from this match, STX should make it and win vs Stars convincingly as well.

Was he so tense he tore a muscle, I thought he was all-machine by now? Not quite, my understanding was that he twisted an ankle or something, I believe that there was a picture of it somewhere on TL.

Additional hurdle for KT: A Flash vs Innovation ace match could go either way. This contrasts against the BW days where Flash was the scariest motherfucker around and sniper builds were mandated or required. Even so, sniper builds often (but not always) failed because Flash would just consistently outplay his opponent in order to turn things around. This doesn't really apply here, does it?

This doesn't really apply here, does it? exactly, back in the bw days KT players always had one thing in mind "if we take it to ace, we win" in sc2 not so much, I am sure this hurts the self confidence of many players

I don't think they would win, and in no way would it be convincing or easy what so ever. Woongjin Stars has two players sOs and Soulkey who would be without a doubt super aces on any team(besides flash and innovation); but having two of the arguable top 4 players in the world isn't where we stop. We also have free who is an absolute beast who while your right only did on the last round, destroyed absolutely in the previous round 5. Then add flying and zero as backups and a third of aria bravo light and I don't think they will be beat; especially when hey e had so much time to prepare, even sent out their b team( who still did pretty alright) in the last round, and we really haven't seen the top 5 of Woonjin play. This makes them unpredictable and scary. For your dear or stats we have both free and flying. For any single ace, you could face two of sOs or Soulkey, who I think right now is the best player on earth( but we'll see if that comes true and stays true, so don't hold me to that). You don't prepare for Woonjin; they prepare for you. There are simply too many varieties. That is why until stx/KT advances and see the lineups, they really can't begin preparing except against toss. But sos plays different on a huge level to free, and free from flying. Meanwhile Woonjin knows they're playing a team with a single Backup Zerg, four toss, and a super ace from a Terran. They are already preparing now. They will win, and they will dominate.

It's just my opinion though, your point is valid. It depends on how much secret training and most importantly refinement of builds that they do during this time, because refined builds are what I see win most often in pro league
