I guess I haven't been paying attention to PvZ enough then. I barely watched any HSC because I was traveling so I didn't know Snute was using it. Good luck on the ladder against it then. :D

As long as it isn't NSHS... They're still waiting to win by attrition.
Also, are these good protoss games to watch and learn, or were they just the entertaining kind of games?

As it was said before, prime just recruited 4 new members and moved into a new house, it´s probably NSH (which I doubt, for some reason) or STX.

Oh god... EG innovation? Who will snap him up? Anyone want to guess how long that will take?
|
It's gotta be NSH. STX is still in proleague playoff right? Doesn't make sense for them to disband them right then and there. I think it's NSH though.

i dont think its nshs cauz we thought they would disband all the time but they didnt lulz and their university sponsors them so i think they are ok

Fantastic play by Symbol, that is really the way to play roach-hydra styles nowadays yet you don't see it often. One evo chamber into quick hive is really the way to go, ranged attack upgrade is far better than armor anyway and the quick vipers are great against colossi. Somehow people don't often seem to realize infestation pit + hive is hardly more expensive than spire tech and vipers are much better counter to colossi early on than corruptors. You need less and they not only counter colossi but forcefields and MSC/warp prism shenanigans as well. The second evo later for carapace and going into melee upgrades is great too, overall it's better to go ultra at that point imo, but broodlords are a nice finishing move (they tend to be only good if you're ahead). I'd really like to see zergs getting just 1 or 2 infestors with this strategy though, you don't NEED pathogen glands to get infestors (in fact they have just as much energy if you just start infestors asap when the pit finishes). Just a few fungals provides fantastic utility, fungal + blinding cloud is great against stalkers and just being able to prevent protoss from running away too easily is great.
Key to beat this for protoss is to not be too sentry heavy I think and do a MSC timing before the hive finishes. Avenge could easily have killed the fourth or even the third and backed off safely for example. If Avenge didn't forget range either you can position the colossi to be virtually safe from the vipers, especially if you have blink you can generally snipe off the vipers with a forward blink. After that just transition into templar after like 2-3 colossi while making immortals from your robo is a fine way to play against this. I still don't get why some protoss are not making voids with their stargate if they have it sitting idle anyway, they are just sweet for taking down vipers/corruptors quickly and make you ball up better, ie have better concave..

It could just be to say STX will cease to exist after proleague so their fans can come out and cheer for them one last time before they disband.

People underestimate Genius.
Yes, he's been "asleep" for quite a while. Yes there were rumours he was going to quit. Yes there was also talk that he was basically playing LoL full time and never practicing SC2. Yes he hasn't been on top of his game for a while.
But don't forget this is a guy who was fairly consistently in Code S through 2011 and 2012. This is a guy who made it to a Code S finals; in the process going through DRG, sC, MarineKing, Nestea, MC and aLive. He took two games off DRG again in said finals. His only maps dropped before the finals were against MarineKing (who he lost to once and then went 2-1 in the final group match) and one map to NesTea.
He has the ability there. He just hasn't shown it in a while. However "form is temporary, class is permanent".
As for the disbanding thing...with all the rumours I'm feeling STX as well.

Idk about that, I think it is more about people underestimating him + protoss having great cheese+all in play. I don't think he would come far in OSL at all.

Holy shit!! Happy to see Genius finally getting clutch wins! I was getting a little worried, but good thing Symbol was able to close it. Congrats Azubu!
