I just looked through the brackets and was quite surprised to see so many US/ Canadian and so few European players. Were they not allowed to attend after HomestoryCup or are there other reasons for that? (sorry for that rather stupid question but I haven't followed Starcraft too much lately)

The chances vs nani are higher than last time, since they dont play in winterfell this time, but then - dear - with his solid performance froom yesterday ...

(sorry for that rather stupid question but I haven't followed Starcraft too much lately) WCS europe is much more attractive and the best europeans there are preparing for their matches at home. It would be impossible for TLO for example to go to MLG and then be back on tuesday and not lose everything ...

The only player he beat until now who can play sc2 decent is TheStC. With JD and his history with ZvP, Nanis luck continues (man, i dont want to see JD bomb out again).

It's a bit weird that people try to discredit him based on a "easy" bracket. Hero had one bye, Massan, Select, Minigun, Sage before losing to Hyun. Naniwa could have done the same without much luck. Why no SC????? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sw6ufR_Vy1Y so many great answers could be written here but........................ ^_^ but for real, i think the concept of a first person shooter is just more appealing to most athletes cause its more of an instant thing. not to mention easier for trash talking.

Even if Naniwa had a lucky bracket this time, doesn't change the fact that it's always him + Stephano anyway. There is some foreigners that are doing well recently (like TLO/Snute) but generally it's always either Stephano or Naniwa. Scarlett is also up there but she rarely compete in "over-the-weekend" tournaments. She is doing well in GSTL in Korea at least ^^ Naniwa has had way tougher brackets than this and has done well. Still remember that MLG World Championship thing preProvidence 2011 he won when he beat both Nestea and Mvp when they both were considered the best. So generally speaking, Naniwa and/or Stephano has pretty much always been the last standing foreign hope in tournaments.

2 2 5 4 0 1 3 1 It is true that Naniwa/Huk group was the easieast one. Relatively easy opponents did help Naniwa for sure. That said, I think Naniwa is the best non-Korean in this tournament anyways, so he would have had the best chance to advance further even if he had been placed in other brackets with tougher opponents.
