Life had a full month where he didn't play a single match, he had lots of time to practice. I think if you don't have upcoming games to practice for you get complacent, lazy and worse overall. ye might be, but i don't think mma was lazy. he is always so sad when he gets asked about his poor performances. a man can hope!

Welp it's probably gonna be a curb stomp for FXO. Chance coming up suggests they're going to use this match as a field exercise for their new b-teamers.

MVP is the GSL champ who won a a Championship despite him being inferior in every (mechanical) way to squirtle. Did you watch squirtle stream? He's got to be the worst in mechanics as far as GSL tournaments go lol.

That wasn't the primary reason for the slump. The Slayers drama meant MMA had a destructive effect on his mindset and practice, and the queen patch made his amazing TvZ his worst matchup, and with the difficulties Terrans were having, it also meant less TvT, which was his other strong matchup. He wasn't preforming well a long time before the Slayers drama, obviously it didn't help him but I think Coach Ryu a pretty decent impact especially with how well he has done with WJS lately.
Well, the Slayers drama took place over a long time. In an interview, MMA told how the bad atmosphere was hurting his mindset before his Code S Ro8 match against aLive in GSL Season 1, the season that DRG won. This was really early in the year.

Yeah that was the reason for his slump for the rest of 2012 and I suppose you could apply it to the end of WOL as well. He hasn't become a top player again in HotS even though he should have everything in place to allow his comeback, with the Axiom partnership and all that.

As if you could achieve RO4 WCS Finals on the basis of pure decision making.
Of course he is not "bad". Every foreigner is probably worse than him. But compared to other players who have very good results (Innovation, Flash) or even macro terrans who are not considered championship contenders (Ryung, Bomber) he is way less impressive.

As much as I like Squirtle saying he's mechanicly superior to Mvp in almost every way seems abit silly.

There has been times when MMA looked like the MMA of 2011 (Acer Teamstory Cup). But it takes a while to get back to the top if you have fallen, and with the influx of Kespa talent, it will be exceedingly hard to reach his former heights.
