Apollo used to be my favorite caster, but recently I hear his voice and I shut off whatever I'm watching because I can't take the immaturity and horrible jokes. Am I alone in saying the famous casters have recently been more comedians on stage rather than quality casters? Overall, it is a trend. Unfortunately it's in large part due to the majority of the community wanting that style.

Am I alone in saying the famous casters have recently been more comedians on stage rather than quality casters? Quality casting includes hype and personality. I watch a shit ton of SC2, but unless I'm really invested in the players or the strategies the atmosphere provided by the casting generally decides how I'm going to feel about the game. This is the reason that people bitched about the WCS AM finals but felt like the KR and EU finals were really amazing. Live crows help, but the best casters know how to hype up a match and keep in interesting.
