A little off-topic.

It's kinda sick how one league of legends streamer (Dyrus) almost has the same amount of viewers as the whole of english dreamhack stream right now.

DH 28k vs Dyrus 20k

Nothing new, and nothing surprising. The DH games today are not going to be anything special, it's the first group stage and there are as many no-namers as there are pros. The DH numbers will pick up over the next days.

I'm more impressed by the numbers on this LoL guy stream than by the low amount of people on the DH stream tbh.

Again, not too unusual, I think. Just check the top streams on Twitch and you'll find LoL streamers with those numbers are pretty normal, at least during weekends.

But yeah, it is pretty impressive

20k is kinda low for Dyrus actually, but it's probably because LCS is going on.

Thinking we never had a player stream going pass 20k for sc2 in comparison. D:

I think the highest have been stephano and jaedong when they started streaming around 10k.

to be frank, the quality isn't that great either. Saw gumiho - morrows and the games were both over <10 min. The skill gap just really shows off.

He hit 23k+ the first time he had a mic and webcam combo for his stream.

Pretty sure that is the highest for an sc2 pro.

Are you seriously trying to compare a Code S Korean to a random Swedish dude who might not even be a pro-gamer? ...

Of course viewer numbers are low. Games are pretty much crap except for one or two series every six hours or something and you only watch if you really have nothing better to do. I only have it on in the background and check back every once in a while. First day of Dreamhack is low quality compared to other tournaments due to the way the tournament works. Like if MLG streamed every game in the open bracket starting from round one back in the day. And stream isn't anything special either, only the playoffs are great at DHs, has always been that way.

I only really look forward to Bunny vs LucifroN today, everything else is pretty damn boring.
