I don't know why mvp went widow mine builds game 4 and 5 cause hellbats > mines! At least mvp proved he could go toe to toe with innovation and rightfully should have won if not for freaking hellbats. Calm down. Bogus is mechanically much better than MVP (even at full wrist capacity), and has one hell of a tactical sense too. I'm a big MVP fan and this series didn't boil down to hellbats but to a well-deserved win. It's quite amazing that it went all the way to the final game considering how much of a beast Bogus has been lately. MVP really is an incredible player.

It's apparent that Bogus choked hard on Akilon and hes in a shitty state of mind for proxying marauder for nothing on Daybreak. Otherwise, his micro (look at that constant medivac drop/pickup), his game sense/awareness (look at how he caught mvp out of guard on newkirk with super fast techswitch) are better, his defense on WW was flawless. So, mvp is mentally better but Bogus is a more skilled player at least back your claim with some clues kids

That prompted me to buy the gsl pass (mainly because gsl organized the vods properly to be non-spoiler, and spoilerfreesc2 reddit didn't have non-gomtv links up yet). It was so hard for me to convince myself to put down the $15 for the weekend but I really wanted a good experience for this Now I see spoilerfreesc2 has all the free vods up I like supporting esports but having paid for all the recent GSLs and then having to pay again for these finals when they were free............. ![]()

He had less than a few months to start playing again once the next season started and pushed to the OSL Ro4 vs Fantasy again. Hydra plays with 1 eye. Hoejja and other players are lefties. Don't pretend only MVP has it hard. HOLY SHIT NOT LEFTIES!! OMG I'M SO SORRY FOR THEM lol

That said, it really looked like Mvp had his number in the games that went past hellbat drops. A lot of his play seems to rely upon doing critical damage with his drops; in game 7 vs. SoulKey that mentality really back-fired on him. He reminds me a lot of Taeja. I remember when Taeja was that best in the world mechanically amazing timing incredible damage terran who couldn't lose an engagement and he couldn't put a foot wrong. Then he played Rain who sat back and just chain stormed him every time he went up a ramp and then storm dropped his bases and Taeja looked completely stumped. Taeja was so much better than Rain and on paper should have dominated him if you looked at it purely from "mechanics" (an overused term) but ultimately there's a reason this is called a strategy game ![]() I reckon Flash will be watching those Mvp games very closely. The telling thing is that Innovation looked relieved that it was over whereas Mvp had what I like to call the Man United Mentality - I lost this one, but I'll be back here again and you won't have the advantage next time.

If mech is unviable unless you have an OP unit (and for their cost, hellbats are most definitely OP), then there are more fundamental problems with mech. If mech is truly worth making viable then those fundamentals need to be fixed. Personally I don't see the need to force mech to be viable. I know artosis loves it, but it's not like terran lacks other perfectly good strategies. Terran in SC2/ hots is different from BW, and I don't see the big need to try and force hots terran to be more like BW by emphasising mech. I agree that a tech path's viability shouldn't rely upon one unit being OP (for its cost). But, at the same time, they really should balance the game such that different tech paths are all viable. At the moment, a lot of tech paths in various matchups are vastly superior to others. For instance, it's hard to imagine mech being viable in TvP, or airtoss in PvT, with the current unit balance. The matchup that seems to see the most different builds at the moment is ZvP; ideally the others would be as dynamic as that. For terran in paticular, the relative strength of bio/hellbat/medivac vs. Protoss, hellbat into mech vs. Terran, and bio/mine/medivac vs. Zerg seems to dictate the meta-game in all of those matchups. Not much else is really viable.
