It would also probably help the local scene to make sure other tournaments have a maximum amount they can have for a prize pool. Monopolizing Esports and ensuring Blizzard doesn't have to spend a penny more than they'd care to can surely only benefit the players. If Morhaime ever quits at Blizzard, he'd make a great politician.

Pretty sure its cuz the foreigner lost so the admins don't want to update the page immediately. From my experience of watching games and checking the liquipedia updates simultaneously, series where a foreigner beats a korean are on average updated more promptly than the vice versa.

The only region based thing in all this is where the final lan takes place for each qualifier and it's not like they're selling a bucketload of tickets to a each final lan event either. ESL has the small studio audience as well. Nothing to write off against. So once again, don't bother with the branding because it's meaningless. It has absolutely no meaning whatsoever.

This is what Blizz wanted anyway, they wanted Koreans in every region playing. The foreigners are gonna have to pick up their game now that they've got talented players in their backyard. This season is going to be one of the "growing pains"
where the foreigners realize how much better they need to get if they want to represent their regions. So it's good to want local players to succeed, but the players need to be more upset about having Koreans representing their regions than the fans do
