I was just stating the fact that having this tournament being won by Koreans, a European and an Australian is stupid because of the whole America branding associated with it. Other than that I have no problems with the games what so ever, it's pretty cool to see that Alicia won and I am cheering for Ryung to take the whole thing as indicated by my Axiom flair. and we just told you the branding doesn't matter. The only region based thing in all this is where the final lan takes place for each qualifier and it's not like they're selling a bucketload of tickets to a each final lan event either. ESL has the small studio audience as well. Nothing to write off against. So once again, don't bother with the branding because it's meaningless. It has absolutely no meaning whatsoever. Please oh please. I don't know why everyone wants to make every thread about this. It doesn't help that starstruck always shows up to give them what for

I guess people always want to be conciliatory towards other players. I don't think there is anyone that actually doubts that hero is just out of Hellokitty's league

I know exactly what you're saying. This is not the thread for it. This is to discuss the games, not whether we like the branding of the tournament given who wins. The branding of the tournament has an influence on our perspective of the game results today so it is a legitimate topic in this thread.
While I agree with you that branding of a tournament is very important, this is the Live Report thread of the tournament which does not make it the ideal place to discuss the topic.
Apologies on my end as well.

I know, I'm just so sad that so many people think that they're going to wear you down. You would think that with your number of posts, a few more arguing about WCS would be a drop in the bucket.

Meanwhile Curious swept the finals against ForGG (4-0) in that French tournament.

Presumably they will cast next semifinal, and the Ax brothers will take the final.

4 matches on the menu so they both cast most likely 2 matches

Why can't I watch Snute on stream? :i Pretty sure its cuz the foreigner lost so the admins don't want to update the page immediately. From my experience of watching games and checking the liquipedia updates simultaneously, series where a foreigner beats a korean are on average updated more promptly than the vice versa. That's a pretty bizarre conspiracy theory you've got there. Did you actually do an experiment on this or is this just another manifestation of confirmation bias. @incognito: if you want to change it you can just go to liquipedia and do it.The people who approve the changes may have just been a little bit busy in the half second before everyone checked
Well its just common sense. Think of it this way. If you were a fan of a player and that player lost, would you want to immediately update the results? On the other hand, if the player you wanted to win won, wouldn't you be more likely to update the results immediately? Snute is on teamliquid and Liquipedia is run by teamliquid. If i were a member, I wouldn't be in a rush to update the results either.
Also i've been watching sc2 with liquipedia on the side for a long time. I mean its not always updated slower, but from my experiences there are definitely more instances of slower updates when foreigners lose to koreans than the alternative. Now, this one specific time may be due to other circumstances, but I am simply pointing out trends.
