ReDeYe made a mistake in the third game, scissors was an obvious choice.

I love WCS Extra. Really. Redeye is the perfect guy for this, and Babyknight is so handsome.

People who BM their opponents and are older than 20 are mentally immature and while he can respect their gameplay and style, he doesn't respect them as persons and doesn't care for them

The next thing will probably be the offensive smile

well in sports like tennis or snooker the loser always initiates the handshake. in esports i've seen both ways, and I don't think an "offensive handshake" is bm.

Hmm, I played tennis and we always just shake hands at the same time, no question of who initiates. Both players just shake hands when they're at the net.

Well John Mcenroe wouldn't agree with you here

Well and Mcenroe is known for his attitude and not for his wins, just saying.

And Naniwa isn't ?

I have a huge respect for his GSL runs. So i dont consider him even close to Mcenroe. I am no Tennis fan though. Maybe i am just oblivious to his results. If so, sorry tennis fans :-p

John Mcenroe World No. 1 ranked for 170 weeks which is 5th highest of all-time. Mcenroe is one of the all-time greats dispite his temper and attitude.

Well i guess i went full tennis-noob on this one. But it proves the point of a lot of people in this thread. One of the greatest Tennis players, mostly remembered for his temper, to the point other talkingpoints are left out. Actually that makes me sad a little bit.

People who don't know anything about tennis know him for his temper. People who know tennis know him for his accomplishments.
It is very different from what you think actually.

NaNiWa is a pretty good player. He's played good at times, but he's not #1. He's not someone who can talk the shit that he does, and his reputation is just shit. McEnroe was respected for his play, his results, despite being known for his bad temper.

If McEnroe was top ranked 45 in the world (also take note there are many pro tennis pros than SC2 pros), yet maintained a pretty solid play style and consistently showed pretty good results, he would really be known only for his bad temper, and nobody would respect his loud mouth.
Also, he did a lot of comedic bad manner, whereas NaNiWa's is just spiteful. People who find it funny have a relatively poor sense of humor.

I have learning something today. I wont compare those two in the future thats for sure.
Although its sad that people outside of tennis tend to overlook his accomplishments due to his temper. From an outside perspective.

Having the winner approach the loser RIGHT AFTER a match for a handshake is just a bad idea.

Yes, it's become a bit of a tradition and you see it at several tournaments including MLGs and Dreamhacks. But it's still a bad idea.

Either the loser initiates it, or the winner waits a bit and then does it LATER.

To the people who think its BM as the winner to approach for a hand shake, what planet are you guys from? Surely not Earth where in every single sport ever its completely standard and seen as good sportsmanship. I cannot fathom any other opinion. Naniwa was being completely disrespectful. Vortix behaved like a normal human.

Perhaps many of you have just no experience of actual competition, sport or whatever outside your tiny gaming communities? I cannot understand this.

not Carmac's fault if Redeye does the most predictable build out there twice in a row. that's just good preparation. he probably studied Redeye's VODs prior to the match.
