iirc losers in the first round go to the WCS NA version of the up/down instead of dropping out completely like in Korea | ||

No doubt, but in terms of making a comeback taking out the economy at that point would've been way more valuable than a good trade with the opponent's army. | ||

Yeah, only the 4th place person in the Up & Downs actually drops entirely out in AM and EU right now. So only 8 new spots in Challenger available each Season. I can see how this is reasonable with the relatively thinner ranks of pros in AM and EU, but it certainly feels weird after being used to GSL... | ||

BTW in the second game, when JD had Ultra,infestor, queen, army.. That was when Theognis started dropping like a madman. What could have JD done against that? His army was pretty immobile, so why not make tons of spines/spores? (I'm P, I genuinely don't know if I'm super wrong) | ||
