he was, but when u get to lategame with ravens, no matter how fucked u were in the game, you get an advantage.

yea, can you link me to the last game a zerg went into the lategame with an advantage and lost to ravens? Or the last time Zerg lost in late game in general?

Why? That's not the same scenario. Idra wasn't 'ahead' when he lost. Not very far behind, but certainly not ahead.
Refer to my post.

I wouldn't waste Coach Park on IdrA.

It was inevitable, unfortunately. Idra was tilting hard recently against terran, so it would make sense for him to lose his shit with extraordinary ease.

Hmmm, IdrA is truly his own worst enemy. I mean I'm actually starting to question his intelligence. Watching his stream etc. he seems to have totally shielded himself from any self-criticism and blames everything on the balance. I can assure you he was thinking he waaaay outplayed Polt in the early/mid game and that he deserved to win. He was playing on par with Polt and perhaps also winning by simply defending decently.

He should seriously retire, it's getting painful to watch...

You should question your own intelligence, if you somehow make the connection that self-criticism equals intelligence

Self criticism is one of the best ways to evaluate your ideas. All intelligent people worth their salt do it.

Because people tune in to watch competitors fight it out. Not to just quit when they are max on supply and still have money in the bank. This isn't a showmatch, shit is actually on the line. Is it really so hard to understand?

tbh, MLG failed with all the picture in picture production and the bad observing, so the gameflow was disrupted from a viewer perspective, but IdrA could never break Polt so was eventually going to lose

I'm sure people would have said the same thing about the Heart/Suppy series. Polt isn't a computer and could have easily made a mistake to give up his position. It's stupid not to at least try.

pretty much.

You're underestimating Idra. Or oversetimating. Either way it's obvious that it's not an act, he's actually just that mad.

no, just no

You disagree? I think Polt was in the better position. Doesn't mean it was insurmountable though, obviously.

After Idra threw that game into toilet, yes.

Before that Polt would be dead to any Zerg who got into such lovely position, come on he even had fucking broodlords to destroy mines lol.

I'm talking about when he quit. I agree that he had a lead earlier which he wasted by being too passive.

maybe idra should hire a sport psychologist, just like Ronnie O'sullivan did in snooker. It might improve his gameplay or not

Suppy is the best non-Korean Zerg on EG. Not just in the game, but as a considerable asset in a marketing sense. I mean, c'mon. He's no ordinary wolf.

Polt was lucky his opponent was Idra, you should understand that, Polt played like foreigner for first half. You dont let zerg take whole map with 90 drones.

Are you joking? Polt kept up with his supply with a zerg who had 90 drones.

LOL no he was behind by 30 supply the moment Idra started producing legit combat units.

Well he was far ahead on upgrades. Sadly idra engaged just like 5 sec before 2/2 finished.
