However if the dropships have no healing then the drop become waaaay less scary and it couldn't be worth the risk of losing the units inside to drop units that are not healing into cannons and Zealots. In WOL, Medivacs are a big investment for a Mech player because they need the gas for Factories, Tanks and Thors because they cost a lot of gas, unlike Barracks, Marines and Marauders. Furthermore, they weren't required because you don't need them to heal your units as you did with Bio play. So people weren't build as many Medivacs when going Mech and thus didn't have the ability to drop as much as Bio players. Allowing Medivacs to heal Hellbats gives a much better reason for people to use Medivacs while playing Mech. Taking that away would make put Medivacs in the same position they were in WOL for Mech players. And that is why I think Blizzard is unlikely to do that. My Medic/Dropship suggestion came long before Hellbats could be healed, and would be in replacement of that. Medics would be in the game, then a Dropship would have 1 or 2 special slots that only Medics could load into and thus become Medivacs. But for Mech players, you could build Dropships with no gas cost and use them like that. Medics also have another role in the game entirely that I explained. I admit my previous post could be confusing. Does it make sense now? | ||
