If it gave you an exemption, would Life forfeit it? Life forfeited his spot to compete in this tournament because of schedule conflict with mlg Anaheim. Flash, who got eliminated in ro4, will be replacing Life. This also means that Flash is not coming to the upcoming mlg

only Olympians are exempted from military service, but they have to work for like 365 days a year

it is confirmed. Its not a matter of Flash accepting it because Kespa wants to promote this really bad considering the fact that he is in a kespa team.

Current conscription laws stipulate that athletes who win medals in the Olympic Games or gold medals in the Asian Games are granted exemptions but still required to do four weeks of basic training. In 2011, the Military Manpower Administration proposed amendments to the exemptions: to include men who have not completed middle school, and to change to a points-based system on a prescribed scale for athletes who win in prestigious competitions. This is partly to address criticism for the easy exemptions and to recognise the privilege to those who show steady performance.

I know for a fact that the law covers the Asian Summer games (there was a well publicized case of a Korean MLB player that pondered dodging the draft until he won a gold medal at the Asian Summer Games) and I am fairly confident it covers the Winter Asian Games, but I'm not sure if it covers the "extra" (Indoor & Martial Arts and Beach) Asian Games.
