MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket. |
Actually their rules are not strict just very flexible. Any minor violation has the phrase "may result in disqualification" which means "we do whatever the hell we want". MLG doesn't care about having comm at their tourny so they DQ, but Crank is a fan-favorite and TB+reddit+TL would raise hell if he was DQ'ed so they won't DQ him for anything less than blatant cheating (not that I think he deserves a ban, but neither did comm really).

This is why people criticize this tournament format. How can you value this tournament the same as the GSL/OSL, and give them the same money and points?

Everyone mad at MLG. he's just mad because the tournament was scheduled around American time zones. ROFL how rude of them to schedule the NA WCS around NA time zones.

Still its different as you say, so its unfair to suggest this different treatment if it never happened. For all we know Crank would get DQ as well if he played on a different MLG account.

That's exactly the point, they can't do this thing online. If they want to do majority part of the tournament online, then they should reduce the prize money and points, and give more for Korean tournaments.

That just fell flat on its face. Didn't do much economical damage and hendralisk isn't much more ahead in tech.

Hendralisk just dies from here.
