Hmm... if balance from patches allowed Zerg foreigners to defeat Koreans then the balance from game release allows Terrans foreigners to defeat Koreans it seems... do suddenly the results of Jinro and Thorzain in early WOL make sense?

This isn't balance this is 600 ping

where you find 600 ? i have like 240 in korea or 220 ... still shit but its easy playable, why you think its 600 ?

200 ping is unplayable at high level.

No, far from. Also If you get used to play with ping it affects you a lot less. I played in several sponsored FPS teams in america with 200+ ping, it is not ideal but it works. If anything latency is more severe in FPS compared to RTS.

In RTS, it's more about the variance of the latency rather than the latency itself.

Hyun slayed european players of higher caliber consistently in weekly cups with high latency from korea. All nighht long. Its not optimal but its no excuse.

It's the difference between Code S and Code B - and it's expected.

Well, when you can max out at 13:00 with +1+1+1 almost finished, 9 Infestors with energy upgrade, burrow, Hive and Spire on the way, whilst being on 5 bases, 10 gas and 88 drones and doing constant harassment to the best PvZ player in the world at that time (quote from this thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=386510), then the ping doesn't really matter against EU and NA players.

Hyun had a stretch last year where he easily could be called one of the most skilled players in the world (his offline results can to a degree be explained by nerves, etc etc). Comparing him to Tails, Xigua and Daisy isn't really fair for either Hyun or the mentioned players.

So what would you say the reason for Europeans doing far, far better against Koreans online than they do offline, if it's not lag?

That game was, terrifying frankly.

I really hope they'll cast some games of MorroW today - he's been really quiet lately, but IMHO he plays Terran again now, is he?

He's always been a very good player with his own solid and macro-heavy playstyle and I really wanna see what he's able to do now.

with the points he gathered, finale will probably have a pretty easy bracket now, he'll probably get his spot

still, hoping for an empire defense
