And tough guys are more attractive to get behind because it makes you feel stronger by attaching to that group. Now if you combine the relatively young audience of TL with the adolescent urge to be part of a (dominant) group, you´ll get to this pretty easily.

It's not the full story naturally, but yeah, KESPA is very attractive to get behind.

I think he would be amazing in a Kespa training house with a coach he really listens to. He is so good but seems to be so bad at picking build orders. Well he WAS a KeSPA player before riding on the SC2 money train in 2010. MKP was a B-teamer though, under the alias "Clare." See: Brood War players who swapped to SC2 (list)

i like herO and jangbi a bit more myself don't get me wrong, i have my favourite kespa teams and individual players but as an organisation i find them a bit strange to root for On April 10 2013 22:37 DarkLordOlli wrote: Lashing out is fine, sounds like a rough week indeed T_T You were super active again, I liked it. nahh more probably because they're not retarded elitists like a big chunk of the kespa fans.. even TL writers belong in this category! remember the most stupid and disrespectful thread in the history of SC2 (the ''elephant'' in the room) which was gloriously discredited when NOT ALL KESPA TOP TIER PLAYERS DOMINATED THE SC2 UNIVERSE FROM DAY 1 OF THE TRANSITION, AND SOME ARE STILL STRUGGLING? yeah kespa players will do good, its expected. though these are 2 different games that require different skills. deal with it.

I, like many joined the SC esports seen some time after the release of SC2. And since then I have been looking forward to all the BW pros swapping over. The amount of support Boxer and Nada got in SC2 was HUGE. We love BW players. But all this crap from the elitist and bad mannered BW fan boys just makes me root against every Kespa pro but Flash. And it isn't even the players fault, it is their foreigner fans.

But yes, it's the Kespa fans who come crowing over every frikkin' victory these days because Kespa is the cool thing to support, the "new" kids on the block (maybe an opportunity for the old fans to flaunt their superiority). I think most people don't assign themselves to KesPA vs. eSF or even specific teams. At least that's the case for me—I cheer for players who play well and introduce awesome new strategies and tactics and manage to break out of the currently established meta-game...and I sometimes bandwagon the KesPA vs. eSF thing as a joke and poke fun at those who're perturbed by it, because I find the whole thing silly. When old top-tier players like DRG, Leenock, MC (he's still quite good) and MKP disappoint and fail to compete with the new blood, I'll be sympathetic—especially for all of these examples, as players who impress not just with skill but also passion (happy or sad), storylines and fan appreciation—but I'll still want the new players to succeed and show me better games.
